We are closer today than yesterday to our...

"Cause there's One Day In October" trade period

Isn't that when everyone is up and about?

I thought we tried to play a quicker style
Connection to forward line in second half looked better and we locked to advantage and didn’t bomb it in
Effort was there
Kennedy back in the middle
Owies showed we need our best players on the ground

1. Chose to watch the Raiders win instead so missed the entire first half.
2. Young bloke still cares enough to have been upset when he saw the score this morning
3. I'm emotionally checked out enough that it doesn't worry me anymore
4. For the bits I saw Cotts seemed to slide back in effortlessly
5. Maybe this performance might see some (senior) heads roll (lol)

1) Another strong Carlton crowd
2) Walsh back to form
3) No injuries
4) Effort was there
5) Fix up the glaring skill errors and I think we can beat Collingwood next week. Hopefully we will play with a 'nothing to lose' mentality and stun the Pies next week - just like they did to us in the corresponding match last year.

1. Someone else started this thread. I was struggling to find the motivation.
2. Managed to regain the lead if only briefly.
3. Sam Walsh is a machine.
4. Had all the kids home for Mother's Day so didn't watch the first half.
5. We should now be underdogs for the rest of the season. Hopefully the reduced pressure will let the players relax or something, I dunno.

1) We played very badly (and execution was even worse) but still able to hit the front in the last against an in-form team who have won 6 out of their past 7 matches
2) Some of our planning worked - kept Bont relatively quiet, made it hard for them to score
3) Our game tactics also seemed to work, despite our best efforts to commit suicide by clanger - moving the big forwards up the ground to take their key backs away from goal and open up our forward line a bit
4) Whilst our execution was diabolical, I can kind of see what we’re trying to do. I feel like if we can just put the disjointed bits of good play together for an extended period, it will click and things will happen
5) Mason Cox starred for the Pies yesterday so he went a week early for his once a year out of the box match and should be ordinary against us.
