Voss mightn't be much of a tactical coach but this game is a huge challenge in terms of getting the players to believe. In terms of effort last week was a good response, after the Lions game where some of the body language was worrying to say the least. It'll be interesting to see how the lads apply themselves. Voss could well sell this as our grand final, I mean lose and we really do go behind the 8 ball in so far as games needed to win from games to be played. Will the lads come out with a steely look in their eyes and will they be able to maintain it for the entire game and believe in themselves and not give up when challenged. Who's our club shrink again?

He should tell them we got within a kick last time without Kennedy Hewett Walsh. Tell them we can & absolutely should win this game

I'd thought of that, but we aren't really that side right now.

I guess though, we weren't terribly good leading into those last 2 games against Coll and Melb.

I was thinking more, mention some stats that suggest Coll as good as their record is don't always blow teams away early in games and instead tend to rely on incredible last quarters, which might not be sustainable.

I'd also mention that while we haven't brought home the bacon (which is an understatement) lately we have only been about 3 to 4 goals off the good teams who've beaten us. So while we haven't played terribly well, the scoreboard at least shows we aren't that far away from winning games.

We aren't that far off (scoreboard at least) but we need to improve.
We absolutely can win this game lads.

I thought Cripps' comments this week were quite good. His words were the best messaging that has come out of this club in the last few weeks.
Now he needs to actually play good football.

I'd play Cottrell on N.Daicos.
He can run with anyone, all day.
Then run off the little prick when he has a chance.

Voss needs to actually do something in the coaches box.
You're (presumably) being paid a lot of money Michael.
@#$%&! do something for once.

Yea ... i am a little tired of the steady as she goes (we just need to be consistent) message. I think we need some flare ... some unpredictability ... start hunting aggressively and ruthlessly.

I must admit, now I am finally getting a little concerned with Voss and co.
If I recall correctly it was Voss's stubbornness and favouriting of players that eventually cost him his job at Brisbane.
And with so many of our players out of form for weeks on end with no real changes to the playing list or positioning, it starts to make you wonder.
I'm all for backing a process, but doing the same thing over and over and having the same result is by definition, insanity.
And the BS about getting things right during the game that no one on the outside can see is a sign of desperation IMO.
I fear he is panicking and reverting to old ways.
Plus the inclusion of Fisher in the extended squad is enough reason alone to doubt our MCs selection process.
Can't see us getting close let alone having a chance of wining this one, unfortunately.

I think this game sees Carlton 23 at the crossroads.
Lose, and especially if we lose badly, well the knives will be out.
Win and suddenly we are back (in theory).
Sadly I suspect it won't go well.
We all sit back and close our eyes and dream of a stunning win with Charlie bagging 6 and Harry 5.
But that won't happen against a good side without a good game plan which the players understand and believe in and can execute. And we are not there.

Slobbo said the other night Luke Skywalker Sayers will SPEAK next week.
That'll be interesting.
Or maybe not.

How about Vossy just uses some good old fashioned fear of the boogeyman as motivation.

It screams 'oh my God, what if daicos carves us up?'

Switch taggers at half time.

If so... God help us
