I think Cottrell is, physically at least, a pretty good match up for Daicos.

I don’t know whether to drop Silvagni or not. Trying real hard & caring about the performance is his stock & trade, but we need goals.

I like the idea of Martin getting out the back, especially with the defensive run support of Acres, Hollands, Walsh & Cottrell… but it’s just an idea. In practice, the rebound goes straight up the guts.

Doesn’t change the fact that we need goals.

Pittonet/Young/Harry has to be the ruck combination. If there’s a job for Silvagni after that, then I’m here for it.

I'd like to see is move McGovern forward and McKay spend some minutes in the ruck like Daniher does.

JSOS should not be sub ffs. He was the only one performing in the first quarter.

Play him as a tagger. Go to De Goey or Daicos. He's had success in this in the past.

Going by his past records you are only going to get blocks of 4-6 games out of Martin before he is sidelined again
Makes no sense playing a bank of games at VFL
If he is fit he is easily in our best 22 - get him in there before he breaks down again

I'd go for a speed king to break lines and too fresh and fast to be caught: with zip.

no to martin at least 2 weeks in ressies. What i would like to see is our Forwards DEFEND more ,pressure more on collingwood backs because once again like previous years collwood attack starts from there defence WE NEED TO STOP THIS. Win this game and then we will lose to swans (HOPENOT)

I too wouldn't bring Martin in, but MC love him and tend to bring him at pretty much every opportunity. So, I expect him to be named.

If they're looking for motivation, I would lock the players down in a room for a few hours before the game and play the cringeworthy, shrieking audio of the Pies players' mums revving up the players yesterday before the game, on a continuous loop.
