Tough to find 5 positives some weeks.

1. Managed to kick a few last quarter goals to avoid a complete blowout.
2. Sam Walsh continues his run of consecutive 25+ disposal games, up to 26 now.
3. Huge crowd.
4. Still above the drug cheats on the ladder.
5. Still in the 8.

1. Cerra one of the best on ground and still polling votes in our BnF
2. Docherty was a workhorse
3. Our players must be convinced after that turnovers kill us
4. If it wasn't for turnovers Acres was an absolute Bull out there. relentless.
5. 1st and last quarters were good.

Why don't we have a 5 Negatives thread? I mean we lost, right?

Cerra is pure class.

this isn’t a criticism of hollands because he’s a boy playing against mature bodies but not only can he not stick a tackle, but he often props two feet in front of an opponent rather than tackle them only for another blue to tackle from the side or behind three seconds later while he stands their ruth his mouth open. not sure why except for that he doesn’t want to get shrugged in front of 45,000 fans. he’s not the only senior player who can’t stick a tackle but it happens 90% of the time he tackles. i guess Voss and the MC just accept that because his strength is running out a game and providing an extra goal kicking option on fast breaks down the opposite wing. Cottrell can do that and stick tackles. as soon as he is match fit Hollands → Cottrell. or acres gets dropped for coating use two or three goals in the first quarter alone with turnover kicking. (hello Weiters why are you so down on form atm?).

1) facing into the truth of where we are at can only mean upside
2) 3 blokes in the side that have fewer than 10 games each - each with upside
3) attendance
4) we had our best available side out there
5) had a dinner commitment - watched the replay

Phew! That was a challenge

1) Given that Voss said he couldn’t blame effort (and I agree), it must be clear to him and the players that it is primarily the game plan (which I think is also why we find ourselves under so much unnecessary pressure, hence poor decisions and poor skills).
2) We won many of the possession battles (contested, clearances etc) but still lost convincingly which, again, points us squarely towards Game Plan!!
3) I’m hoping we learned a lot from that loss. Particularly, the game plan.
4) Game plan was clearly sub-standard. The positive is that this cannot have remained obscure.
5) I’m hoping we have now learned that we need to go back to our 1 wood, and play a brutal, fast, forward-handball game and work out from there how to navigate opposition attempts to stop us. Eg. If they block up the centre corridor.
Rounds 22 & 23 from last year are the blueprint for me. We played well against good opposition whilst undermanned and only just fell short. Our personnel are better now and we should be able to improve the game plan just that little bit. Let’s pick it up from there.

Because nearly every other thread is drenched in negativity.

1. We didn't have to see and hear our victory song being butchered.
2. See 1.
3. See 2.
4. See 3.
5. See 4.
