That was enjoyable to watch. Finally treated another team like we have so regularly been treated this century. Doesn't change much until we do it when it counts but.

I just liked us hitting forwards on a lead, it happened so much last night I thought it was the 90s again

Nice win. Anyone else watch the score in the bottom right corner of the screen and cheer on us beating WSC more than Melb beat North? Added a little fun to the proceedings :)

I was .

I didn’t see much of the game but on the AFL site there’s a snippet about Hollands first goal and the look on his face while being embraced by Cripps is fantastic.

We came up against a undermanned and struggling team, we got on top of them early and then pulled away to win big. Can’t ask for much more than that. No (reported) injuries either!

It’s a different game under real pressure of course, so this week against Brisbane will be a good test of how our ball movement and defensive structures stand up.

20.9% increase

thats a really good result.

WCE are in dire straights, and feels like they have been like that since COVID bubbles, but despite that ... 20.9% increase its a great outcome.

Honestly, we should have done that to North too...

We did play Norf on their GF and when the dead cat bounce was still in effect tho.

Our % is still second worst in the 8 but today's game may change it (not that it matters heaps with the draw).

Uncontested possessions
307 to 159
Played witches hats
We won contested possession and clearance obviously
When we break even or lose in these two stat areas but win a game I’ll get mildly excited
The next 6 weeks will tell us where we are at
Teams that play North and/or West Coast twice have an unfair advantage over the rest of the competition
The draw as I have said before is [REDACTED] and this season is the best example of this
When the Tasmanian team comes in the competition should go back to 18 rounds
But that won’t happen

Before the game, West Coast were going to beat us. Now they're "witches hats"
You're so bloody predictable Keogh.
Only missed by 123 points.

A very enjoyable Sat night at the footy :smoking:

Have sat through some shockers over the years so rapted to be the ones dishing it out.

I’m nervous before every game but especially against this mob at home. It’s a WA thing. Realistically thought we’d win by 5 or 6 goals so I’m very happy to have blown them out. Especially on the road.

We weren’t perfect but I loved our intent to use the corridor more, take the dangerous kick and put speed on the game.

Hopefully this is the confidence booster and kickstarter the club needed, players and coaches. A reminder of what we are capable of. With a tough stretch ahead of us.

My god west coast are pathetic.
The difference last night is that we didn't get punished for our mistakes.

On the bright side curnow and mckay worked well together.

Well , i was wondering about the game and what to make of it all . And then i read your post MP . And i reckon you have it all covered . Sums up everything really . You have to start somewhere and i reckon that is a good start to come out of a slump .

Yep, robertbb and I mentioned this in the AFL Live thread. That and the possibility of a Charlie ten-fer were the focus of my attention. I could get used to this!

Professional and ruthless against a very weak team. While you can only beat what is in front of you (which was not much), we usually make a meal of this type of game and only win by 15 points. Good to see us step on the throat of a crap side. We’ve been on the other end of these beltings too many times so good to finally dish one out.

Charlie phenomenal and a joy to watch. Midfield bullied West Coast - Cripps, Cerra, Acres, Hewett. Pittonet good again. Kemp shows a lot and I’d stick with him. Cincotta ditto.

Only real negative is Harry’s kicking still looks abysmal. Can’t fault his effort but he only looks confident snapping from one pocket.

Taking the piss with that 15 point post BV
Last night proved @#$%&! all
Zero pressure
As I said when a team matches us with contested ball and clearances we always lose
That’s whats predictable

Didn't we lose clearances against North and/or GWS? Could've sworn the TC Doom Patrol used that as a reason to downplay those wins...

No advantage to us. We played Adelaide at home in the Gather round so it's neutralised IMO.

Charlie
No apparent injuries
Acres
Defence. Percentage.
Kemp intercept marking
Cincotta

Umpiring relating to holding the ball was horrific. Carlton players pinged, WCE players allowed to throw it out. There was one with Hurn where he stepped back into the tackle and still wasn't pinged. I suppose he's royalty.

Camera work was horrific - zoomed in too much, then taking forever to zoom back out.

Would like Pittonet to take more marks around the ground.

Some of the entries inside 50 were still horrific; almost as though they were trying to pick out WCE players at times.
