What's the game plan?

Are you happy with how the football is going?

Have we improved since last year?

Have you fixed the injury issue?

How's the inquiry you set up to look into our never ending injury crises and so called "high performance" team going? When can we expect to get the findings?

And was that part of the original (Teague) review in the first place. Because that was never really made clear

I am worried the club think that game plans and tactics are overrated.

Can someone start a tally of how many times PaddyCripps post on average after a loss, in comparison to after a win?

Was Steve Bradbury a referee for Voss?

Luke Sayers said, when they axed Teague and appointed Voss, that he expects us to make finals in 2022.

How's that all going Luke?

I reckon he'd probably say well it's round 8 :?

Brian Cook said it's not the end of the world if we don't make the 8, but understands the frustration.

Answered it like a politician, but, technically, is he wrong?

Even if we make the 8, we're not likely to get past the first week.

We need an aggressive clean out / trading period / drafting campaign at the end of this year to have us pushing for Top 4 and flags from next season.

To me, coming 9/10th is not much different to a tokenistic finals appearance and a lower draft pick as a result.

And before anybody hammers me, OF COURSE I want to play finals this year!

It will be fitting for us to scrape into 7th/8th and then go to the bloody Adelaide Oval.

My understanding on the head coaches' appointment is that Ross Lyon wanted the job but refused to go through the "process".

Sayers wanted to ensure, after a string of failed coaches, that the appointment was methodical and the optics were good to supporters/media which necessitated said "process", thereby ruling Lyon out.

I suspect if Lyon had interviewed we would likely have gone with him - especially if he articulated his modernised game plan. But he didn't, so we got the "best available".

Remember, Sayers had the kahunas to initiate a review mid-season (which I believe was the right move!) leading to Teague's removal.

That was half the job.

He didn't have the kahunas to then appoint the next coach on name/reputation/qualifications alone.

Sayers is clearly a shrewd operator but I wonder if in retrospect he regrets not taking the opportunity with Lyon, while it was there, optics be damned.

Lets make the finals first, then plan for whoever is ahead of us.

I bet no one can pick our team in round 10, let alone 15 and 20.

I expect us to evolve for the better, but we better get a few wins on the board against the main teams we are competing for 7th and 8th, and every team below them.

The thing is if he'd appointed Lyon sans process, & it went pear shaped, can you imagine the uproar. Especially since we'd been torched for appointing Teague without a process. I understand why the club stuck to its guns with Lyon.

It would have gone pear shaped. It ain't the coach...
