Out for a walk earlier and saw these two old footy cards shrivelled up in the park:

Dominate first half but not enough to show for it.

Opposition get numbers back and Carlton are unable to navigate the flood.

Inability to defend opposition ball movement.

Butchered shots at goal, particularly key moments.

Probably the worst small/medium forward stocks in the competition.

Against an opposition that is not overly talented/has lots of injuries but has a great system.

Charlie 3.3
Harry 1.2
Cripps 0.2 (hasn't kicked a goal this year, had kicked at least 10 at the same point last year)
Silvagni 2.3

I mean, we obviously aren't doing heavy running loads. And we clearly aren't on a big weight programme. Surely we can let the boys spend 30 minutes each day taking 50 shots at goal. It's not complicated. Bad kicking is bad football.

JSOS miss was the turning point.

The slow, chip around bullshit game is NOT WORKING.

Apart from a brief period in 2022, I cannot recall over the last 8 years, where we have clicked over an extended period playing fluid and cohesive football. Great balance between offence and defence, great delivery into our forward line, overlap play etc

Today was another example. It is a boring and plodding team with no real zing.

Eight years into a rebuild and have nothing to show for it apart from a better balance sheet.

It’s the reason why we have no respect from the rest of the AFL.

Ross (the Boss we supporters didn't want because he's mean at pressers) played the perfect rope-a-dope... and didn't we provide plenty of dopes today... just not confined to those wearing footy boots.

Picked the Saints as I have no confidence in this list and/or the game plan... so this loss doesn't hurt so much

And yet some people think Motlop is the next BIG thing?
He and Corey will probably play every game this year but neither has any idea about small forward craft. Always out of position, flat footed, don’t seem to ever be at the fall of the ball.

Footy is meant to be fun. We have a bunch of super fun talented players but play a stodgy boring [REDACTED] to watch game style.

It's time to say it. We had Ross. We decided to run a "process" and lost Ross in the process and the process has produced yet another @#$%&! up. Another coach that isn't good enough. And yet another failed rebuild. We'll trod along in mediocrity for another 18 months. Finally realise we've [REDACTED] it up yet again. Sack Voss. Run another process and probably blow it all up and start all over again. We're not playing finals for another generation.
