If you look at the first 5 games we have been ordinary
Richmond have been crap all year
Geelong were still in party mode when we played them GWS are crap in arguably the worst game of the season so far. North are coming from a long way back and had no key defenders and we won by 4 goals
You can only hide the fact that the list has still enormous deficiencies

The loss of Docherty and Mc Govern last week was crucial
Both are good ball users from defense
Not quick but with the ball in their hands the pill can move forward quickly and effectively from the back
Saad provides the run
But even with these 3 guys in the team the speed in which the ball comes out from defence isn’t quick enough
Weitering Young Plowman Newman aren’t quick and don’t run and carry enough
The better teams have most defenders carrying the pill
Consequently we are easily played against
With 2 out we are in serious trouble
Why not try Dow at half back
Give him license to run
He wouldn’t be the first player to have his career saved by moving to the backline
Look at McGovern

This is why you need to watch the VFL.
Dow lacks a defensive side and defensive run, there is no way he can be a defender.

Not confident 'this week but if we win this and Collingwood-Essendon isn't a draw then we'll be second on the ladder.

I know everyone wants to panic about the way we're playing and it's not great but what would that say about every other club?

Nobody's ever won every game in a season and the competition is unbelievably even these days. I'm happy to just bank the wins and hopefully get some players back over the next couple of months and start to gel a bit more as a team.

If you'd offered me second after six rounds I would have sold someone else's left testicle for that.
