Put TdK in defence. He's not a ruckman. He can really move though when he wants to. Very quick over the first 5-10 meters.

You know he's listed a cm *shorter* than Sam. Who we know plays in the backline.

Kemp or Cincotta in for Plowman. If Plowman plays another game for this footy club I'll spew.

The bloke can not, will not, play from in front.

Until he figures that out, he can’t be anything other than a sometimes ok ruck.

I think the 1st quarter against crows has given me PTSD. It’s brought back some pretty ordinary memories of 2015-2021 and dare I say it the Pagen days when we were completely out of the contest. I guess the good thing is it was only 1Q and you don’t win premierships in April :)
I understand we need to add layers to the game plan, but anyone else notice it’s like this year it’s more about how to stop the opposition rather than make them stop us.

That’s OK Plowman will as usual contribute to the Tim Membrey benefit.

Then you'd all be complaining about how undisciplined they were.

And why is the media going on about we are too reliant on Curnow and McKay? The problem is we are not getting the ball to them quickly enough to make them dangerous.

Our midfield is playing rubbish and you cannot win games of footy if you dont.

We need to play no nonsense footy and move the ball quickly to the forward line. We need the smalls to engage at the drop of Curnow and Mckay but they dont either.

We are just a lazy lazy team. It wouldnt hurt for the match committee to try different players with some speed in the midfield. We have gone slower. Cripps is moving very heavily, Hewitt hasnt been in the best form. Curnow is also slow and tagging. Kennedy is also slow but curiously playing back last game. I just dont get these decisions.

Just try something different Carlton far out. If our slow bulls cant win the ball we are stuffed.

We have gone backwards in the midfield this year.

And now we are slowly losing all our backs exactly like last year. Its crazy the way this happens every year.

We recruit players line Cincotta and Durdin and dont use them. Dont select players that dont have a role then Carlton.

See other teams, then add cherries on top that can help. Otherwise select a young player instead of a mature ager.

We need a bit of a refresh for the Saints game I think.

Cripps Kennedy Hewett E. Curnow Silvagni & 2 rucks in the one side is a bit much.

From that lot, Hewett & Pitto might miss out of necessity anyway.

Im sorry Tommi. I am sad too. Sick of team like Essendon*, Adelaide winning and improving. On paper we are so much better than them. We have two coleman medalists and a brownlow medalist for goodness sakes. Thats so rare.

Wish we had a game plan to move the ball quickly to those two forwards. Blind freddy can see our backline wont cope if we dont win at the source.

It hasnt been working so change it up. We are carrying too many players. Fisher has done nothing. Play him on ball or not at all. Why not try Martin, Durds, Motlop in the midfield to see if they can give us something for periods in a game ?

We need Ed Curnow out as we have too many same same players. A combination of Cripps, Kennedy, Walsh and Cerra would be ok as Walsh and Cerra are not slow.

How about Hewitt in Dochertys position?

Just move the pieces around thats all.

And what is wrong with Cripps now? He has not been himself for most of the year. He looks soooooooo slow. And when an opponent runs past him he just stops and walks around. That is not leadership.

I know you all love Crippa and I do too, but he hasnt been the same this year. Last couple of years he would kick a couple of goals and lead from the front in the midfield. This year not so much.

This group is so much more capable. Its sad being smashed by Adelaide. Apart from it being their showcase game, we are so much better than them.

If we harrass St Kilda like Collingwood did, they will make heaps of errors. But can we be bothered? Thats the problem who knows with this team.

He should get a week for sloppiness, but no more.

Murphy’s glass jaw is Murphy’s problem. He was the instigator.

Agree. Can't play them all. Hewett is horribly out of form. Curnow for all his effort is slow and can hurt and opposition with ball use

2 of Pittonet TDK & Jack to play. Can't play all three

The game is becoming quicker especially with 6-6-6 and the stand on the mark rule. Teams are now adopting a quicker game style. Cripps weakness is leg speed. Watch how many times players run around or pass him. He struggles to tackle

The issue is you can get away with this if you have speed supporting him. We don't and it causes us so many issues

We simply can't play Cripps Kennedy Hewett Curnow in the same midfield. Individually they are very good players but as a group they are a major weakness

What does Voss do with our midfield?

I would add another midfielder by dropping one of Pittonet TDK or Jack

We can only carry 2 of Cripps Kennedy Hewett Curnow. They need to be supported by Walsh Cerra Fisher Durdin Motlop Dow Hollands

The issue now with the 6-6-6 is if you lose clean ball in the centre you get thrashed on the scoreboard as the ball gets in quickly. Crows did that especially in the first qtr and because we don't we struggle to kick quick/easy goals from the centre. Crows pushed Rachelle McHenry Pedlar Jones through the middle with Sloane Laird Dawson Keays and that is why we lost
