Pretty sure Acres played out the game. Then again it is Carlton so scans show its worse than first thought. Out for half the season.

Swap Cincotta for Honey and I'd agree with you.

I flagged this game for Wash to be an "in" and I expect it to be so.

LOB, probably needs to be swapped with Dow as the sub. Dow has done enough to be at least be given that opportunity .

Even if Jack Martin is "fit", I say no to bringing him in. Should be brought back thru the ressies and BANG down the door to be reconidered for senior selection. If Fisher faulters, then maybe Martin can replace him, but on exposed form, thats a BIG if.

Realistically, this is a golden opportunity to bury a team and I expect that to happen. Time to get some %%% boys. Carlton by 8 goals plus.

Mcgovern had a sore knee at one stage too.

Was just thinking about that and expect the club to tell us next Thursday he actually ruptured his ACL and is out for the season

Can see Kennedy and Martin coming in this week.

Fkn desperate to welcome Walshy back too.

If so, and a big if for Walsh, the 3 they would replace in the 22 could be:

Owies (hammy), Fisher (refresh) ... this is getting hard

I'd guess St Kilda for Walsh? Surely he gets VFL time.

Kennedy & Walsh to come in. Hopefully.

Kemp, Carroll or Cincotta the most likely from the ressies. All of them eyeing off Cowan’s spot. Acres availability might hold the key here (Docherty to a wing, for example).

Fisher & O’Brien can both get in the sea, but Owies (maybe Acres as well) getting hurt will save them.

The cupboard is really bare at small forward. Honey & Fogarty are both pox - and Hollands didn’t work out when he went forward. Binns might be an outside chance, as could Akuei - horrible as he is at footy, he’s an athlete that could be a useful player in the pressure forward role if he can bring it for 60-70% game time. We’re getting pretty desperate at that stage.

Courageous effort by Acres to play out the game, but he’d have to be in serious doubt. In that event, LOB not only avoids the axe but probably comes into the 22. What other wing options do we have with Cottrell out and Binns not ready?

Who replaces Owies? I guess it’s a choice between Honey, Fogarty & Cunningham. I know Cunningham has only played the one VFL game, but if he’s got the track work behind him I’d be tempted to put him straight in. Honey is the most likely though (assuming he isn’t injured too - he didn’t play the second half in the VFL today, hopefully he was just held back as an emergency).

Perhaps if Kennedy is ready to come back, he comes in for Owies, with Honey as sub?

I wonder if there will also be a question mark on McGovern. Walsh & Martin would have to be doubtful, haven't heard anything from the club that Walsh is that close. And Martin 3 weeks after
a calf would be risky. He owes us a few weeks in the 2s to show he can stay fit

Fisher I'm not as harsh on as some, thought his last quarter was good. But O'Brien, really poor.

So yeah, 4 changes with not much coming through the seconds
