Sooo I had a weird feeling about this game all week. Good weird not bad weird.

Even when I was tearing my hair out and screaming my head off late in the last, some little voice in my head said "We aren't gonna lose this one".

Anyway that's my claim to fame.

Hey Miss….

my great buddy Lisa lost her Mother yesterday…I’ve known
Helen since i was 15…i wouldn’t have known her as well
as i did…if it wasn’t for Carlton…!

i can honestly say…every single time i saw Helen
these last 43 years…there was NEVER a time we didn’t
discuss Carlton…never…!

I last spoke to Helen Monday…she was upset people
we’re blaming O’Brian…she whispered…(very gently)…
“We’ll beat Geelong”…!

so yeah Miss…i had that similar feeling you had…!

RIP Helen…my favourite Carlton supporter ever…!

kindest regards tommi

Cerra was good for mine and I was worried about Pit first up, but he was great.

Always good to sing the song

Acres very good.

Different midfield mix in terms of movement around the centre bounce and having the two rucks.

Acres was good but for 3 quarters Motlop was oustanding. Faded a bit in the fourth but I think that we have plucked ourselves a gem. Harry had an ordinary game but was outstanding in the last quarter when the game was in the balance. Good to see Ed back. So much better than Dow and O'Brien it is not funny.

Can't remember a game where we butchered the ball so much ,missed so many targets, had so many kicks smothered and still won.

We are getting better

I’ll have to look at the replay, but at the ground the pressure seemed immense from both sides. Geelong brought the tackling heat and we were able to withstand it. Yeah, there’s some areas we need to smooth out but I thought overall it was one of our better wins under Voss. Plenty of positives to take from that performance.

Yup….

still some very dumb football…but less than
normal…!

Saad should never have asked Acres for the handball
at CHB with minutes to go…wasn’t a time for
playing on…!

Reckon we wouldn't have won without Pitto.

Anyone interested in the mechanics of the game, and why our last quarter is an issue, have a listen to what Dermott Brereton is on about right now on SEN.

Enjoy the win. Lots to work on.

Yeah, I am on a cruise ship in the middle of the Tasman Sea. Can't get anything except the internet out here.

Wow this was a great win
I'm surprised by the lack of energy here!!
I don't think that Thursday night footy really 'does it' for ppl

Look forward to going to work tomorrow

Went to the game. So good to have a win.
I, like a few others I imagine, was pretty worried in that final quarter.
Harry had a huge 4th quarter so hopefully we learnt something from last week.
Love our new boys, Hollands and Cowan are going to be rippers.
Well done and enjoy the win everyone.

We deserved to win. We were better than them for the majority of the match.

Very amusing towards the end.

Great effort all round ..... everyone did their bit. I wasn't convinced with the team selection (like many other here) but what do I know ...... That's why I'm sitting at the keyboard.
Sure there's plenty room for improvement ..... but for now let's just enjoy beating the reigning premiers. Need Harry to straighten up his kicking but like others have said those last quarter marks were priceless. Worth more than goals.

55000 odd crowd wasn't great .... perhaps the Thursday night stopped plenty of Cat supporters (with Friday work, school etc) coming up the highway. Friday or Saturday night would have brought 75,000 plus.
Our 2 new kids have a bright future and Acres showed why we were keen on him.

Cameron 6 goals and we still beat them.

Does the win say more about us, or the loss more about Geelong? But of A and B for mine. Reckon we’re on the right path and finally got over the line in a close one, and reckon Geelong are cooked after their last hurrah in 2022.

Puts the filths win last week into perspective. They carried on like they won the flag ffs.

Harry’s work rate all game was the best I’ve ever seen.

Since last week, that is.

Even when we were shithouse our games would have a similar crowd with the majority being Carlton supporters.

Agree. He looks like a player just on the cusp of playing some really great football.
