That's sad. I think the first thing as a supporter is to enjoy the football and the camaraderie, and that winning premierships should be the icing on the cake. Obviously it helps if the team plays exciting footy. Watching the Ratts team at its peak gave me some of my best CFC memories even though it didn't lead to flags.

We were exciting then. I enjoyed it, and I enjoyed watching Ratts enjoy it :)

Yeah the Ratts years were good. It was the indigenous boys that did it. Yazz, Jeffy and Eddie were awesome, and of course 1AW was spectacular. And a certain C Judd went alright too. They were some fun times

If there was any doubts ...

Last 12 games of 2022 = 4 wins
First 12 games of 2023 = 4 wins

Headed for a negative score by round 20.

Who said we weren’t innovators?

It does, but there's limits.

Like many things in life, it's OK until it's not. It's not broken until it is. Happens suddenly in my experience.

We love our footy club. And someone wise once said that love is a decision one makes to constantly come back to the table, to constantly put the effort in, no matter how dire or tough any situation.

Thing is. It has to be reciprocated. The love is not reciprocal between CFC club and its fans at the moment.

Truthfully, I'm not sure it has ever been - we've been a corporate club. A benefactor club. A "rich boys" club. And the cracks were papered over when we were winning flags. What's left in the absence of success?

Answer your last question? Love of my club.
I have a team and I follow it, win or lose.

Every Club is a Corporate Club just like us.

The way we generate dollars, millions and millions of dollars: Coteries, Corporate boxes, Corporate events, Corporate sponsors run by a Boys Club looking smart in their suits with their million dollar salaries, called the AFL Commission.

The AFL run the show, not Carlton.

We are all a bit sad with the results we've been presented this year.
I had a ball following my team in Adelaide despite the result...it does still hurt a bit.
I wouldn't have gone to Adelaide if my team wasn't playing there, same goes when Carlton play in Brizzy or Melbourne.
I still love my team. I'm not happy with them atm, But I love them.
Ditto my younger boys. They arent happy but a proud Carltonians

Only 6 Carlton players have kicked more than 3 goals this year
No mids have kicked more than 3 goals

Ess have 16
Melb 18
West Coast have 10

Slow ball movement and only kicking to the talls

That tells me the boys need to be told to trust their ability to run and carry...and fkn hit targets....especially through the 2 big sticks.

I broke my toe 6 weeks ago. Since then we haven't won a game. Unfortunately, my toe is still stuffed.

I think this might be my fault.

So you're the culprit then.

The only difference between us now and Fitzroy before they folded is money. Fitzroy’s last 20 years were more successful than our last 20 years. Our club treats the supporters with contempt but they’re the only one keeping this shit show going. Nearly 90k members this year and this is the crap we get for sticking loyal over the past 20 years.

To add insult to injury the club decides to roll out our 16 cups before the game. We’ve been nowhere near it for 20 years and still look a mile off. Don’t roll out the cups until we’re serious about winning another one. We clearly are not at this stage.

Spot on. I remember a number of Collingwood supporters back then saying to me that Carlton was the best team to watch
