Last year we looked like Boys playing against the men of Geelong.

Durdin is a midget and fingers crosssed he blitzes. He’s the type who might.

No Hewett No Walsh. No Pittonet. Big bodies we will miss.

Cripps Kennedy Cerra is a good midfield.
I hope Doch goes through there too, and spice midfield up with chaotic midgets Durdin Motlop Fisher.
Fisher is so lucky to be playing and I hope he is embarrassed with last weeks output.

Suspect if Dow was to play for Geelong he'd go more than OK

Martin should be shown the exit door and paid off

i really dont like when coaches play favourites. What happened to a blank canvas at the start of each year. Its not right.

I thought Voss was gonna be different.

Dow at least deserves to come in as a pressure forward after kicking 4 last week. Just leave him forward. Surely better than Owies who does nothing and cannot even kick straight.

And Fisher, seriously whats up with him. Has so much talent. We need the ball in his hands. Put him in the midfield for goodness sakes.

I may be controversial but we are not getting the best out of Cripps, Kenned and Cerra so i have no confidence in our midfield.

I wish we had strong leaders. I dont like Cripps as a leader he seems bogged down and tied up. He tries to do to much and take the game on, and doesnt seem to trust his team mates to pass the ball on. So many times he tries to run through his opponents and refuse to pass the ball off to someone in space as he wants to do it himself. Its shits me no end.

If we had a mongrel captain like Selwood, Toby Green, even the leaders at Collingwood all hate to lose. I want our leaders to demand more from every single person in the team.

Cripps is smiling after the game etc. Cripps is good friends with Fisher right? So he needs to tell him, you are not giving you all mate, you need to be more present as an example.

I prefer Docherty as captain to be honest. He has more mongrel and urgency in his game than anyone else in the team. Who else shows hurt after a loss, and I mean real real hurt. Cripps may talk the fact he is hurting, but he doesnt show it on the field. I hardly noticed him last week apart from the first quarter. What happened to us breathing fire to atone for last year. It needs to come from him, he needs to go up to the players not having an impact and pull them up. He might be, but its not working.

My opinion ok so dont come at me. This is what this forum is for.

Lucky our game plan isn’t based around tall marking forwards…

I’m with you on a couple of fronts

1) fisher get some mongrel
2) it’s the start of the year so reward performance - Dow
3) midfield needs support - rotations AND more from our wings
4) and there was a moment last week when Crippa took too much on

I believe in cripps as a captain and leadership comes in many forms and should be equally demonstrated by the senior players around the captain.
