We should remember we were behind at 3/4 time

Evidently, Vossy seems pretty happy with the growth this game showed.

Yeah….

when you look at the game as whole…we
could’ve been smashed…!

they had us for most of the game even though we
were in front…peculiar game…!

Tiges could’ve been up by more at 3/4 time really…!

kindest regards tommi

Ultimately it was two dropped uncontested marks that cost us the game.
1 in the first minute
1 in the final seconds

The 3 on 1 failure by out 2 key defenders vs Lynch was beyond woeful. Just really, really poor by Weiters.
Harry falling over 20 seconds earlier when the pass was near on perfect wasn't much better.

McGovern missing the ball completely didn’t help.

I thought we were comprehensively outplayed for the majority of that but fought hard and feel like a draw is a lucky escape.

Yet still feel like we lost and let a win slip away.

Weird.

Our transition defence from turnover is still ugly.

Our movement/kicking out from D50 is putrid

So are our F50 entries.

We did great defending under pressure when we had everyone back despite many many fumbles and mistakes. We held up well with all their attacking.

Way too many passengers in the game too.

This club needs to hire the best psychologist that has ever come out of Harvard University.

Ugly game all around. Looked like we desperately needed the run

I see so much upside. Tigers threw everything at us and we still nearly won and we were poor. Every player can improve and by a lot
Need Pittonet & Durdin in and Walsh will really help

Cowan & Hollands showed enough but played like first gamers. Tough initiation

Concerned about our small forwards. Motlop will be very good but Owies, Fisher don't do enough. We lack some X factor in that role

Round One you just hope for a win. Don't care how. A draw is meh. Move on to next week

Not long home from the game.
Like a lot of you have already mentioned it was a pretty scrappy game and I thought a draw was a fair result in the end.
Neither team probably deserved to win or lose.
We had our chances but again panicked and cost us a win in the end.
Yes, O'Brien probably should not have kicked it to Harry, Harry should have kept his feet. Harry had 5 Richmond players around him and in hindsight it would have better if O'Brien kicked it out of bounds as it would have given us time to man up.
Anyway, lots of ifs and buts but I didn't think we played terribly well so will take a draw.

Was it a mistake to not have both Pittonet and TDK against Nankervis?

Pittonet wasn't 100% right for a senior game wasn't he?

I actually think playing 2 first gamers was more of a mistake. Even though they both had some good moments.

LOB should have kicked it 2 bounces earlier. H was in space between two defenders. He ran his guts out to the pocket, but that allowed the defenders to shut him down from in front and behind....

Go Blues

Last year we lost the last 2 games in the dying seconds.
This year, game 1, we scramble a draw in the dying seconds ..... crazy sH#t

Welcome back Ed and great goal Doc from outside 50 after they stole a few metres from you.

Game 1 of 23 ...... A lot of work to be done. Need some speed around the ball. Need a small forward. Need a ruckman. Need to win games.

I thought we would have attacked more in the last and tried to go for the burst like Richmond did in the third.

That was so similar to his goal last year, even his reaction after it

And if Acres got that mark.......1pt is all we needed, with the wind too.
Yes but knowing our luck he'd have kicked it OOF.
