Do our mids and forwards train together? Why is there zero connection between them?

Mids who want forwards
Who like forwards to be mids
Who do forwards like they're mids
Who do mids like they're forwards
Always should be someone you really love

X 1,000,000

Worst in the AFL...as it was last year.

Doesn't help that none of our mids are elite kicks...Kennedy probably the one I'd trust the most to hit a leading target

Dear Michael, Is there any chance we can defend from our I50 more rather than gift wrapping half the ground for the opp to waltz past us while our small forwards run back into our D50?

Here's a novel idea...try and defend the ball at the source more rather than concede half the ground trying to block space too close to the opp goal

How can we capitalise better on having Harry & Charlie together in the forward line?

Telling both of them the other has a highly contagious and fatal sexually transmitted disease would be a good start.

Today was like they’d decided the end goal was a foursome with GWS’s two key backs.

Kick straight like a KPF on 800K should.
Spread to give options. FMD is it that hard.

I'd try playing both 'high' outside 50 and have resting ruck or JSOS in the goal square bringing the ball down to our smalls.
H & C can score from outside 50 and should get lateral separation across the wider part of the ground to be the target coming out of d50.

Wait, you mean kicking long to a shallow entry and having them both compete for the same ball and watch the enemy cut us up through the corridor isn't a good strategy?

We need to isolate them 1 on 1 and kick to advantage.
They need to know when to lead and when to double back to keep the lane open.
They need to run to spots on the ground they can then kick reliably from (hint: one's a left footer).

I'd get Charlie hitting up around the arc and keep Harry as deep as possible.

Edit: Letting Charlie run around the 50m line means he can use his aerobic capacity and should have plenty of space to work in. I think Charlie kicks the pill better the further out he is. Really times it sweet. Harry doesn't need space, he needs the high ball kicked to him 1-on-1 no more than 35m out - with the little fellas buzzing around.

That's certainly one way we are working. Harder to implement once you have opposition numbers running around in our F50.

Which coach is responsible for our forward entries and the connectivity or lack thereof between the mids and the forwards? Worst 3rd on the ladder side I've seen for some time.

Bitchmond, Puttycats and Cinderella’s are no pushovers, and more importantly look at how many teams are without a win yet?
There are no easy games this early in the season.
Even North, StKilda & Adelaide are doing very, very well. Our next few games.
We need to be up and about every week.
