Inspired by this post in the round one pre-game thread:

Why Lewis Young over Sam Durdin. What is Sam lacking, that sees Lewis getting a game ahead of him?

Regards Cazzesman

What would YOU ask Voss if you had his ear in a private conversation?

I would love to ask:

* what were the top coaching priorities for the 2023 preseason and have they been achieved?
* what position/role do you see for Kemp in 2023?
* what are the main 2 or 3 things that Dow is lacking? Are these deficiencies ‘fixable’?
* why was Stocker delisted after he performed adequately in the last two games of 2022? He isn’t the finished product by any means but he is a young man and his hardness seemed to suit our contest style of game. Did the club consider moving him to the rookie list or giving him one more year to prove himself? What was the major knock on him? Was it a physical or mental limitation? What was the feedback from the senior players on him?
* how does Carlton’s high performance and medical services teams compare to those you worked with at Brisbane and Port Adelaide?
* which AFL journo or broadcaster would you most like to punch in the mouth?
* who is in your best 23?

I would love to ask Vossy…

Alright mate?

Then I’d turn back to my pint & whatever was on the telly. Poor cauliflower has got enough on his plate with all of Sue’s badgering.

Why did you drop JSOS for the Adelaide game.
Side never recovered from that loss

For the sake of the thread, let’s pretend Voss is a willing participant, it’s a private conversation and he has plenty of time to spare.

Need a like for you ABNS. Nice questions.
A couple more from me - how he intends to rotate our midfield to add more run and carry with Walsh, Cerra, Doc, Fisher etc.?
Who has he or had he earmarked for the small lock down defender position?

Are you confident this group has the mental strength to recover from the disappointment of last year? We’ve seemingly been mentally weak for many years. What makes this squad different?

I'd like to know

Can we play two rucks or is Silvagni best 2nd ruck option
Can names like Honey be used in other roles like running defender.

Well, in that case I guess I’d follow CK in and ask if there’s a legitimate goal-kicking fwd-mid amongst them.

Actually, I’d just tell him that he’s got two smalls that could be alright and it’s a stroke of good fortune that he can turn 4-5 others over this year.

I would love to know his real thoughts on this.

Which current Carlton players would have got a game in the 2001-2003 Brisbane sides?

What did you say to the boys in that huddle, on the ground post-game?

That's the only question we need to ask.

Alarm bells are ringing.

Are you sure you know what you’re doing? What makes you think that kicking the ball long to the same spots continuously is a good plan?

What percentage of the boys would believe you if you told them they named Voss Water after you? I'm thinking somewhere around 70%...
