Prestia is the key IMHO. When he plays against us (thankfully injury has occasionally spared us) he carves our mids up. Spreads well from the stoppage and we just let him go.
I'd like to see George put some time into him. The rest can go head to head.

Curnow E. See if he has anything left.

Is it a thing that they don't name the sub? Seems weird

Wow.....
I'm assuming Pitto is injured?
I like Newman as back up/rotation for Cowan.
I like Ed as a tag for Prestia.
Not sure about Honey over Fisher in the pocket, unless Fish is just another mid rotation.
Honey may end up being a late inclusion for Motlop too.
Not sure about LOB not being in the team as a back up for Hollands, surely he has to be sub.

I wonder if Voss has chalked this down as a possible loss and is being cautious with Pitto and using this as an opportunity to get some run into the kids.
Even more worried now.

A lot of faith in TDK if Pitto is not injured.
Last year, we were not as strong in close when Pitto was injured.

I suppose Lewis is the incumbent and he stood up quite well when we needed someone last year. Pretty normal in sport.

Not feeling confident- we badly lack run and carry through the midfield.

Bit worried about TDK up against Nank all night.

No O'brien is pretty big, sets up a massive night for Hollands.

Really wasn't expecting us to play Ed Curnow rd 1, but I hope he proves me wrong & has a picnic. He was good in the Coll praccy game.

Yep Fisher should get midfield time. Hewett Kennedy Cripps Curnow ain't quick.

The team selected is an upgrade on our 2022 Round 1 team.

Pitto was huge in that game.
Too risky to trust Pitto body. He’s been on managed minutes.

I am backing Team Vossy.

Carlton are going to win. Just watch us cut them up.

Bring it on.

Sub? NFI?

But our outside wingmen are, and Cerra is elusive; surely Saady and Doc will be running through I
When we win the contest

It's weird that Pitto's named in the emergencies :?

This is the game that gives us an idea what we think he’s worth. Vice versa.
The stage is his.

Hollands is going to be huge. He actually can run and is skilful.
He’s a footballer first in an elite athletes body.
I have never thought he’s too slight to play AFL but that’s for another thread

The record and 3rd highest tallies of 1 percenters in the history of the game in his first year at the Blues?

Serious question - what has Sam Durdin shown so far to make him more worthy of a game than Lewis Young?

I was wondering the same thing.

IMHO - The 3 things that Lewis doesn’t always show me : Intensity, Aggression and Foot skills.

But having said that I trust Voss, hence why I would love to know his take.

We have no defenders that instil any fear in their opposition. I would like someone to be big and aggressive. I want to see the opposition forwards physically earn every mark they may take. Is that Sam? I think his natural game is more aggressive than Lewis, who is certainly not that sort of player.

Was 2 off.

LOB and Pittonet out
Martin and Ed in

We’ve gone 1 smaller than I thought.

I’m surprised TDK over Pitto.

Blues by 100
