I have collected a few books on Carlton, looking for titles of other books that have been released. As I have always lived outside of Victoria, it was easy to miss releases in the pre-internet days.

No, not aware of it, sadly most of the books I missed are no longer in print. Wayne Johnston is one of may all-time favourite players, would love to see a player of his skill, attitude & toughness in our current team.

Can't remember the name but David Rhys Jones wrote a book (Rhys?). After which Mark Maclure

Hey Noonamah - a few that are in my collection that are worth your while are:

Carlton, The 100 Greatest (Jim Main & Russell Holmesby, 1994)
George: By George (George Harris & Jim Main, 2006)
The Old Dark Navy Blues: A History of the Carlton Football Club (Lionel Frost, 1998)

The George Harris book in particular is a bloody good read.

Try and get your hands on an an interview that Jezza did with John Moloney at the National Library of Australia in 1988. It was done over a few days and it goes for roughly 4 hours. He was 43 when he sat down for this interview and he covers everything from Austria to Australia. You'll need to request the audio from the National Library and this will take a while, but well worth the listen.

I liked We Were Robbed by Greg Herridge. It is on the Carlton vs Essendon* rivalry. It takes you right inside the emotional aspect of this conflict. I just flicked through it then for the first time in years and on page 63 is a great photo of Mark Mercuri missing his shot at goal in the 1999 preliminary holding his hands to his head. The look in his eyes, wow! he felt it.

The Mighty Blues by Garrie Hutchinson - that is another great read.

Although not a book, I also liked The Rivalry by Michael Roberts. It was $10.00 and was released a long time ago. It was a magazine on the Carlton vs Collingwood rivalry.
