I don’t think Kennedy is in the same boat. Pretty sure he went in for the scope, so it’s ‘just’ a question of scar tissue & conditioning.

He did the medial, and has been running for 3 weeks so he must be pretty much ready to play.

On the Prendercast they were talking about Jack Martin's wife helping him find a specialist in Sydney to sort out his calf issues, after losing patience with the club's approach. Anyone know if there's any substance to that?

If/when Blues make GF, Silvagni just has to be there - he HAS to.

Even if it's last 10 minute sub - wheelchair, crutches or not.

I watched his Grandfather and Father play in GFs - it's a Carlton Tradition pre-requisite we see him too.

No way, everyone should be picked on merit. Imagine telling a 100% fit Kennedy (for example) that he was out of the 23 for the GF because a 50% fit JSOS was being picked for historical reasons.

If JSOS is 100% then he'd be in my team. If not, he can bloody well wait for #18 like everyone else. What's another 12 months between friends?

He can’t be the expert on everything.

I would have SOS as my sub only if 95-100% fit for a Grand Final.

I get where Ghost is coming from. Somewhere from the heart and soul. I thought I felt the same, but we have to be pragmatic.

Nice one, cheers. Well at least it's out in the open, not exactly going behind the club's back there. Important thing is he's stringing games together and giving our forward line an almighty boost. Fingers crossed those calves stay intact until October.

100% agree with this. AR is a fitness / high performance guru. He's not a specialist doctor/physio/surgeon. There are people for more quaified in resolving problematic soft tissue injuries. It's common for athletes to look outside their club to find the highest level of expertise for these issues, with many even going overseas.

The only thing that perhaps a bit disappointing is that this was not initiated by AR or the club. It shouldn't be up to the player or player's partner to seek external advice. The high performance team should recognise when they're out of their depth.
