Sometimes don't know who is worse our comms dept or medical dept.

Injury updates pretty much the only aspect of our comms I find sub par. The rest they have improved dramatically over the last few years.

But yeah, it's pretty crap. Maybe they don't want oppo clubs getting the news.

Tough blow for Carlton’s Sam Docherty who will miss the next 4-6 weeks after scans revealed a meniscus tear in his knee @7NewsMelbourne

Phaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrq

We have 6 players returning from injury and that makes a huge difference to AFL & VFL side. Losing Doc is awful. Really awful.

His cameos in the midfield have shown how good a player he is and how important he is to Carlton.

Very frustrating for Doc and the club. In classic Carlton fashion, we get excited for the return of injured players to fill out our side (eg Walsh, Acres, Kennedy this week) but then by the time we get to that point we lose a couple more (eg Doc and H, pending appeal).

Ya can't make it up.

Ah well. Fingers crossed everyone else who's "expected" to be available this week, is.

I don't really follow other clubs that closely but do they also play out a match with the impression everyone got through unscathed, only to discover days later (not 1 day but days later) that a player has suffered a serious injury and is out for 4 weeks plus?

Very good player but it's the one role we can adequately cover IMO.

I don’t have time to search for the post but somebody was celebrating the fact the we had no injuries.

I’d like the person to come forward and apologise to Doc and the rest of us.

That was kept quiet.
I wonder if he did it during the game or at training.
He has already had surgery so I assume it was during the game.
Unbelievable.

Horrible news!

But as someone else said, Doc out presents an opportunity for someone else - Maybe Cincotta?

I also feel that we have decent cover for Docs position.

I'm still going with no excuses - the team et al must be focused and ready to play, but more importantly, know they can WIN!

I reckon.

Could even be Kemp. He hasn't set the world on fire, but was good vs North on the weekend.
