Mots Durdin Cunningham Fogarty Philp injured
Owies stinking it up
Fisher scared of contact

Our small forwards are looking bleak

Might be time to put the Binns out

The president needs to take responsibility for this. I mean the buck stops with him. He talked about looking into the injury issue last year and if anything it's gotten worse. Very unprofessional. About a quarter of our list are now unavailable for selection.

Maybe Honey will get the call up.

That's if this thing's confirmed. I haven't actually seen any reports on any outlets

How good's your source paddy?

Pretty good and if you read back you'll see Sydney got the same news on Mots. Look fingers crossed the scans show zilch...

So it’s highly possible we’ve gone from Mots and Durdin to Honey and Owies.

Fingers crossed Mots is okay…

As Denis Pagan said, we're yet to see the best of Stevie Kenna

Our forward line could be:
Hollands/Carroll/Owies(?) CCurnow Fisher
Silvagni McKay Martin

Still not the end of the world. Still have options - let's just hope Mots or Durds aren't out for long.

Stevie Kenna
What a player
Seeing Motlop last week he has put on a lot of size in the last 6 months
That puts a bit of pressure on the lower half of the body
Young
Only his second year of footy
Perhaps too much fast tracking here
But hey
That’s Carlton

Nah. Not with those genetics.

Poor/improper form, more likely. The sort of thing a guru like AR should be across.

Holding back someone’s potential growth due to their age is a ridiculous notion.

Coach them to carry the size instead.

A watch on Carlton’s Jesse Motlop for the season opener v Richmond.
Has been dealing with a calf concern, managed recently at training. Blues hopeful he’ll be there.
He’s the one player multiple people at Carlton have identified as the big improver in 2023 @7NewsMelbourne

I played golf with Ken Macleay a few weeks ago
Who?
Ken played 16 one dayers for Australia in the 80s
A pace bowler who was handy with bat
Besides talking about the plane trip to England in 83 where Rod Marsh consumed 52 cans of full strength beer we talked about Jimmy Anderson and his incredible durability
The number one bowler in the world at 40
Does a lot of things wrong in his action
You think he would have some serious injuries but obviously his action suits his body

I’m convinced these fitness coaches are actually doing a disservice to the game
Players are definitely over coached and over scrutinized with their fitness
One size does not fit all

Dads Army won the flag last year. Does Geelong not employ fitness gurus, or are theirs better than ours?

Geelong is obviously a well run club
They are patient with most young kids
To me Motlop has put on too much weight for someone who is 20 in November

The game overall is over coached
At all clubs
No doubt
The important thing is that the coaches you do have compliment each other
And you get the right people for the right players
Betts with Stengle last year.no better example
Geelong have been up there so long because they get the right people in the right positions more often than not
Same goes with fitness people
But in the end one thing stays the same
Despite so many staff now you keep it simple
What did Alan Jeans
“ Footballers are like sausages. You can do a lot of different cooking with sausages. In the end their still sausages”
Something along those lines
