It’s a new year, but the injury curse continues….

Walsh (back)
Hewitt (back)
Fogarty (back)
Kennedy (ankle)
Pittonet (knee)
C Durdin (shoulder)
Cottrell (foot)

Have I forgotten anyone? Any news on Cunners? Philp? Apparently LOB had an injury too at the start of preseason but I think he’s back in the main group.

We know we’re not going to see Walsh in the first month (at least) of the season, and it sounds like Cottrell is a LTI, but hopefully we get a positive update on the others soon….

Ch 7 news ran a report last night & had a brief interview with Walsh. Also showed Cotts arriving at the club in a moon boot.

And they mentioned Corey Durdin but put up a pic of Sam instead, the idiots

I noticed in a pre-Christmas website puff pieces with the Prez he talked about how we’ve improved in our fitness programs - but he was very vague on specifics and when asked a related question (re: if the ground surface could be contributing to our injuries) he almost laughed it off.

Admittedly it was a question I’d more expect Brad Lloyd to have the detail on, but it didn’t fill me with confidence that the club is “leaving no stone unturned” in trying to address our injury issues and it did make me wonder if the fitness/medical space was reviewed as closely as other areas.

Love to know what's in the photos Andrew Russell has of the board members and Brian Cook.

That rumour sufaced about a month ago.
Apparently he could miss up to 1-2 months of the season.

Reading between the lines I would be v surprised if Walsh is back playing before half way through the season.

I think you mean "now to" the medical staff.

Didn't George Hewett have a very similar issue (and operation) last year?

Operation was late August if I recall.

He's training unrestricted now. What was the turnaround...~ 4 months at a guess?

He does look good in yesterday's photo, but I'm not sure if there's confirmation he's in full training? Hope so.

He won the 2km time trial in a moon boot?

If so, Cotts breakout year will be 2023
