Ch 7 news reported that he was on a modified program, showed footage of him in a handball drill. But you never know if they're using footage from today or not.

This would be terribly devastating for both player and us.

There’s a reference in that Twitter thread to a rumour about Boyd. What’s that about?

That he's worse than thought, but I hear the rumour was started by Brett Temple, who is apparently a bit of a flower. Was first with the news that Shiel was a lock to come to Carlton.

I think he means me. Don't worry, you're not my type. And I'm too busy reading Mein Kampf again.

Just heard from a many time GF umpire that he was told that Zac Williams did his ACL at training today. Can anyone confirm (or hopefully unconfirm)??

The club's put up training photos from today & there's no mention of injury.

From today's age:

Carlton
Sam Walsh is jogging and moving pain-free, but there’s no change to his return date of the first month of the season. Wingman Matthew Cottrell is months away from returning with his navicular stress fracture, while Jordan Boyd (foot) will be reassessed after the first month of the season. Matthew Kennedy (Lisfranc) and George Hewett (back) are in full training and involved in match simulation, as is defender Lewis Young (ankle). Ruckman Marc Pittonet is involved in parts of match training and will be close to playing in the practice games. Caleb Marchbank and David Cuningham are on modified programs due to their lengthy injury histories. Jack Martin is managing a calf niggle but should return in the next week. Zac Williams and Mitch McGovern have impressed.

No news is good news……but not always. Let’s see what (if anything) comes out in the coming days.

I hope Martin’s calf complaint doesn’t linger.

It would feel weird if Jack Martin wasn't managing a calf niggle.
