Exactly. There's literally no point speculating until we see him on the field at the first bounce.

No idea why it's taking so damn long but it's annoying

No ligament damage but will undergo an arthroscope and miss 6-8.

Sucks big time but very happy it’s not worse.

Owies confirmed out 1-2 wee... oh shit.

Anyway, no debate over Motlop's retention for a while.

So what's the actual injury?

He has a bad record with soft tissue injuries - you knew as soon as he was a late out he'd be missing a few.

The club update is extremely vague re what he’s actually done to his knee. Last year he did a meniscus, the club said he’d miss 6 weeks and he was back in 4. I’m not sure if we’re trying to play funny buggers but odd the club haven’t actually said exactly what he’s done. Wonder if there could be some wiggle room on the timeline.

And Cerra a test this week as well.
Bad luck about Harry but could have been much worse.
Hopefully he is a quick healer and comes back sooner.

Yeah it's weird. Isn't a "clean out" like he is having the sort of thing that occurs end of season?

Hilarious they don't say what the injury is

Maybe they don't know and need to go in and check it out . I'm no Dr as you can see.

Anyhow, I like David's deduction that it is a FUNNY BUGGERS scenario.

It’s no easy task to predict the future.

Harry is an elite worker. Walsh might be a genetic freak, but Harry does the work to get the same results.

Point being, he’s one bloke that you can be at least somewhat confident of an early return - if the timeline includes a conditioning block.

I was kinda enjoying not having this thread front and centre on the main page for quite a while.

Oh well, it was fun whilst it lasted.

He might be a dubious kick but he is vital to our structure and a fine player generally, so the health of his knee especially now is a major topic I'[d have thought.

Absolutely he is - I was referring to the fact that we haven't had to worry about major injuries to key players for a while, hence why I was happy for the thread to be missing from the main page.

I think you must have misunderstood what I was saying?

No I understood totally, and I wasn't trying to have a shot at you.

I am even more confused now!! :?

It is such a shame that this injury has come at a time when we are finally playing inspired team footy and charging towards an unlikely finals berth.

That being said, I am glad it is not not a serious ligament injury. He could potentially recover a lot earlier than expected, just like he did last year.

This will certainly test the team's resolve and if we do make it to September action, we will have well and truly earnt it. It would be great if Harry can get back just before the finals and play a part.

I am confident Harry is fine and needs to rest his knee.
He may not even need a nip n tuck of the meniscus, but he didnt look in despair the last I saw him on tv.
Our boys are up. Up for the contest. Harry will be back to add, as wiil Kennedy, and by the look of things Cuningham, Martin, Marchbank, Gov keeps on giving.

Our list who is available is pretty good. Add momentum.
IF Voss wants to replace 200cm for 200cm, he's got it on hand: Young, Durdin, or a forward target, Gov, Marchbank.

We're OK. The boys are playing to win for each other, for real.

Didn't mean to hijack your post Mil.
Yep. Will test our resolve and we all want to know the truth, any way.

I recall Doc made a shock early return from a knee injury this year - could the same happen with H?
