Yes Rick…. i miss the days of Ms Fan…Ms Belle…Princess Pee…Mrs Cee… 72 Girl…even the young lady that went to London…! i feel the ladies on this site get a rough trot…by that i mean…it’s not a comfortable room for them like it was…! I’d be happy for a Ladies only Lounge…by having a safe chat space…they’ll join the main room more often…! a lady always makes the home a happier place…! kindest regards tommi |

Just finished my post season footy break and reading this thread. Love the stories and history. My pathway to TC (March 2010) was via Princes Park Whistler. I had been dumped by my long time footy companion and was standing on the wing at Docklands a couple of weeks in a row: you get chatting to the people around you and Chris was one. I was actually one of two whistlers at PP that his username referred to, unknowingly. PPW introduced me to a few TCers in person and I once met the world famous Moshe at a thing at Percy's Lygon pub. PPW also introduced me to Synbad, who as others have said, was a lovely bloke in person: I remember talking about Cuban cigars with him at Preston Market one day. My favourite TC story though... I was heading to Sydney for a weekend and posted asking what pub might have our game on: a few replied. BondiBlue of course was one (whom I'd never met) and after about 2 messages, he invited me to his home to watch the game. His wife literally asked him how he knew I wasn't an axe murderer! I think he replied that he had seen me post on TC so knew I was ok. Had a great afternoon, met his lovely family and was forever grateful for the connection. Nice post BigG. Pretty sure I watched us beat Port by a point in 2013 with you & PPP at the Great Northern. |
