Had a smartarse Essendon* supporter tell me that he barracked for Collingwood for the first time because Cripps shouldn't have got off.
Well, Essendon* should have been stripped of the 1993 premiership. Wished I had thought to say it back to them at the time.
Still feeling sad.

Stripped of the 1993 premiership ..... that's being kind
The whole club should have been deregistered and thrown out of the league.
F ... the lot of them. Will never forget.

If one of the Vic teams (especially Coll) had a terrible post siren exit from the finals, that would go a smidgeon towards healing. But not much.

So I have a confession to make.

I’m not having anything like the negative reaction that many of you are having to Sunday’s game and the end of our season. I mean, I’m disappointed and all but I saw this year as a year where we make progress but it doesn’t all quite come together so I guess I sort of expected something like this.

But there’s also this…

I watched the first half and was all set to watch the rest but the girlfriend came home from riding her horse right on the half-time bell and, as sometimes happens to her after said activity, was feeling a little frisky.

I don’t like to look a gift horse in the mouth even if someone’s given me the same horse earlier in the morning so I quickly summed up the situation and left the game behind, fully intending to return before too long.

Suffice to say a fun afternoon was had by all. I tuned in again with maybe ten minutes to go in the last quarter, ecstatic to see we were in front and then it was all downhill from there.

Which is to say, as I hadn’t had the high of the third quarter, the low of the last was mitigated somewhat. I’ll go back and watch the third at some point and enjoy both the team and my own ecstatic performance with a smile on my face but I’m not quite feeling the loss in the same way as those who rode all the bumps rather than…

You get my drift.

them home….HEYYYY orrrrr….!

But yeah……..horses…!

if we lost by 6 goals against the Dees…and 9 against
the Colon….i would feel com-PLETE-ly different…!

just the two really bad beats…that’s what does it
for me…really…really bad beats…!

Over the past few years, my disdain of Collingwood supporters had subsided. Probably because they had fallen behind Richmond in the relevancy stakes. I'd even accepted a more extreme hatred of Essendon* supporters.
But they've renewed my enthusiasm. Their behaviour at Sundays game, the booing of Cripps and the smug and smartarse behaviour since has reinforced the fact that some Pies supporters are in fact the most maggot ridden, shitbag filth to walk the earth.
I hope they get flogged in the finals and come to the realisation that with 5 players over 30 in their team, they're on a slippy slope to well deserved insignificance for an extended period of time.

They were next level feral on Sunday. There was a real air of menace at the ground, at least where I was sitting in AFL Members. We are probably going to get a separate Carlton membership of some kind next year just so we can sit with Carlton supporters at certain games.

I've heard several really rotten stories of their behaviour during and after the game and it just doesn't surprise me one bit. There's something wrong with most of them. They're obsessed with us to the point they can't act like decent human beings.

It'd be pretty funny if after all these close wins they lost both finals by a kick
