Throw JSOS and Charlie into the centre square mix with Walsh, Dow and Cerra. Pitto in the ruck. Harry and TDK the key forwards. If they can't mark it, it must come to ground for Owies, Motlop, Durdin, Fish and Martin, to do their thing. Cottrell tags Langdon all game all over the ground. We can't stop Viney, Truck, Ginger Megs, Brayshaw, Jackson and Gawn so we must play our own game and back ourselves to spread their defense. Out aim should be keepings off and stop the intercept marks. I would love to see our guys spot up between 40-50 out and keep pinging away from there.

What's the worst that can happen? If we play by the numbers we will get rolled. Might as well show some variety and dash.

Why not ? on top of that i would chuck Marchbank forward to tag Lever . Lever is good and creates so much . Stop him and May gets the jitters when he is one out . May is a head case who is easily riled .

And bring in Darren Hulme as this week's secret weapon?

Only if Laurie Angwin’s playing for the opposition.

We’re battling to kick a score as it is.

Cazz's idea of Charlie in to the centre, Freo did a variation of that years ago with Pavlich.

Pav would be at the centre bounces as a form of ruck rover then drift down to his natural position of CHF. Worked really well.

Something from left field. Play your best players where the action is.

At 24yo, if Setterfield isn't starting in his preferred position in the middle after 3 have come out, his career with Carlton is finished.

Was that the day he kicked 8 goals against us - I think Robert Walls wrote an article about Pavlich which put a rocket up his arse the week before we played them as well.

For me,

In Stocker
Out Cripps

Setters to the midfield.

I'm not sure on the Pitto/TDK question. Having them both in put our whole team out of balance. There's argument for TDK having a rest.

I'm thinking Pitto in for TDK and Young as second ruck, let SOS alternate between forward and midfield. That might also open a defensive spot for Plow to take Fritsch. Got it all worked out, here.

I genuinely don't think we're gonna see players playing in positions they've not spent any time in at either AFL or VFL level. So those people wanting Stocker in the guts will probably be disappointed.

That being said, they did toss things around a bit on the weekend - Young in the ruck, Silvagni on the wing and at full back, etc.

Whether Cripps misses or not, the big questions are:

Do you play two rucks?
Do you risk Martin, knowing he's always a chance of not making it through the game?
Do you persist with Setterfield?
Does the backline have enough run with the current mix?
