Putting this here because I think it'll get lost in the players thread/section.

I didn't think he had much impact on the game on the weekend but regardless 41 touches is a lot of touches, and he may have polled the week prior too.

He lit it up early in the year before falling off a cliff but may have picked up some votes recently.

One of the Brownlow predictor websites has him virtually in the lead. And the others have him sitting on around 23-24 votes with the leader on around 26-27 votes, give or take.

So, if he can poll in the run home it maybe puts him back in the frame.

I am not sure Freo's Brayshaw nor Lions' Neale are absolute locks given their teams' respective form.
And Petracca and Oliver might steal votes off each other a bit.

Can Cripps finish the year like he started?
Certainly seems to have found the footy of late.

No and its all the board's and Michael Voss's fault.

We’ve become the Footscray and St Kilda of the 70’s and 80’s worried about whether our players will win the Brownlow and the Coleman.

:D

I think he'll poll well. Smashed it early and continued to rack em up under the umpires' nose even as us fans grew frustrated at the occasional bad old habit creeping in. Reckon Walsh poses the same "problem" to him as Oliver and Petracca do to one another, and let's not forget Messrs Saad and Coleman!

I am not sure Walsh will poll THAT well.
I think he has lacked hurt factor in 2022.
Hasn't kicked many goals to my eye.

Exactly.

And we have fools like grofinger who are happy with the way the club are performing.

Yeah GOFIGURE you MORAN, what are you smiling at? We started 8-2 and the coach said our best footy would be in the second half of the season, so we should be 16-3 right now, but we're not, are we, smart guy? I deserve more because I support a team that was great for 105 years and then shit for the next 20, someone needs to be punished for this, starting with our captain who has shown ZERO leadership during this disastrous season (but I want him to win the Brownlow please).

If I were Patrick Cripps, I'd punch the Brownlow to show I'm fair dinkum and serious and hard.

At the very least he should stare at it with a big mean frown to show he means business.

He will rack up votes early, we'll get excited, then he'll fade out and finish like 4th-6th and @#$%&! our multis.

If he can get 3 votes for each of the next 3 games, he will have another 9 in the bag.

He could come 3rd.

I'm really not interested in Brownlows.
They're given by the Umps.
Who runs them? The AFL.
Nuff said.

Never forget 1993 Brownlow.
Good reminder the umps don't play fair.
And the AFL knows what's going on and don't penalise them.

Given his blistering start, should be a top 5 finish.
Oliver, at $6 is the value.
Period earlier in the season he may have had 5 bog's in a 7 week period, when Petracca wasn't at his best.
Proven vote getter is a plus

Then again, Dipper and Libba won Brownlows, so you know .....

Well it keeps the mob busy and distracted and after a few decades of debacles well it could almost be construed as a refreshing interval?
