Pattern playing these types of sides. Good 1st qtr, crape 2nd, workmanlike but average 3rd, then give it to them without the lube in the last. |

Did enough to get the win. Saad was BOG. Charlie was pretty good. Cripps salvaged a bad game with that goal. Happy to get the win, let's hope it continues. |

Take the 4 points. Good return from our wingers - Setterfield in particular. Need to keep them for finals. Need Pittonet back. Small forwards are a concern. Not sure we can play Newman, McGovern & Plowman in the same backline. Lacked a little run. Clearance setups around the ground didn't look right. No one setup in the front of the contests. |

Honey really doesn’t seem to know or care about the words to the song doesn’t he? |

Boring game overall, second half was more lively. Inaccurate first half was furstating. Once Pitto and Owies return we will look better. TDK, SOS and the smalls struggling. Cripps... |

My kingdom for a fit, big bodied ruck. |

Very sloppy and that is why good sides will punish us. Plenty to work on. |

Take the win and move on to next week. First three quarters were generally sloppy but last quarter was good. 2 wins ahead of 8th. One win away from sealing our finals spot. Saad BOG. Charlie very good. Most players did their job on the day. Setterfield and Honey took their chance today. Good result all in all. |

Happily take the 4 points and move on. But that was quite torturous for me for most of the game. Made very hard work of it. Thank god for Adam Saad and Sam Walsh. Sublime. |

Pros: Got the job done. Pressure rose in the 2nd half. Saad, Walsh, SOJ and Charlie. Nice to see Durdin and Honey hit the scoreboard. Cottrell, Setters, Newman and Plowman pretty good. MM made it through. Weiters better than the last 2 weeks. Cons: Poor intensity early. Left some goals out there. Got beaten around the ball. Young was poor today in the marking contests. |

Someone tell me what is wrong with Cripps. So disappointing for the captain of our club and the one most vocal about us improving. He is a selfish footballer in my opinion. While he gets 30 possessions. They are error riddled. And as a team, we are not playing cohesive footy again. Handballing to players under pressure, no sheppards and what happened to our handballing back in the midfield and going foreward. |

I was so relieved that Walsh & Weitering returned to the field. I was bracing for the worse, particularly with Walsh who didn’t look good when he came off. Young has been an excellent pick up but he dropped a couple of marks today he really should have held. He needs to sort that out before September. Saad is a gun. Was he this good at Essendon*? I would suggest he is in career best form. A bit of a mixed bag from Harry. I was filthy with a couple of efforts to be honest. Solid return from Setterfield. I would persist with him for another week at least. Time to bring back Pittonet and give SOJ a rest, IMO. |

We can't give Jack a rest. He was outstanding! Ran all day. He can't rest at the end of the year or in the pre finals bye (surely we get there now). SEN gave Cripps 3 votes, lol. Just shows these journos know sweet FA and just look at the disposal numbers. |

Thought that was Plowman's best game for the club. |

I think we all have to accept that Cripps has some great traits but equally is a very unpolished user of the ball and often has brain freezes When he is on song he is as good as it gets but sadly he is also quite limited for a so called topliner The worry is if we ever get to a grand final will he be the hero or will he stuff things up? |
