All in all, a very good win. 10 goal win on the road against a team that has played reasonably for the last month.
Cripps and Walsh were massive in the last quarter. Cerra, Kennedy and Hewett also had good games.
Charlie and H kicking 10 between them was massive. Charlie kept us in front during the second and third quarters. H finished them off in the last quarter.
Young and Doc were good down back.
Durdin was very good too.
Puts us in a very strong position to make the 8.

We played 3 quarters. 1st and 4th were outstanding.
Dominated 1st quarter but didn't finish them, like we did in the last.
2nd quarter was the bad Carlton. Getting ahead of ourselves and dropping intensity around the ball.
3rd quarter was the arm wrestle we needed to have to stem the tide and reset.
4th quarter was as good as we have played this year. When we win the contested footy and clearances, apply the pressure, we really are a top 4 team.

Kennedy, Hewett, Doc and Cerra where good all day. Cerra likes Perth. :)
The twins with JSoS just did what was needed all game. Really is a joy watching every single one of these 3.
Durdin and Fisher good all day also. Can't wait to see TDK in a couple of years - he will tear games apart.
Crippa's last quarter was what we expect. Walsh took it another gear as well.
Young .... well that is all. He is just a great get.

IMO - I have no doubt, Bossy knows who the stragglers are and will make the necessary changes when we have players available.

I just finished watching the replay. I've noticed that this year some of our players throw the ball a lot.
I appreciate that a lot of teams do it and it's part of the 'modern game'.
I'd like to know others' thoughts about this.
Anyway, Go Blues!

Pros:

Fast start. Mature win.
Charlie, Harry, SOJ, Docherty, Fisher, Newman, Young and O'Brien.
The midfield. Kennedy and Cerra in particular. Cripps' last quarter.
Great to see Durdin hit the scoreboard.

Cons:

Leaked scores far too easily in the 2nd quarter. Aided by some home crowd umpiring.
Plowman was poor again.
Saad was quiet. So was Weiters.
Even though a few of his touches led to goals, Honey barely touched it again. Pity he couldn't get on the scoreboard, because he just needs AFL game time and confidence.

Wouldn’t even use the word great in this sentence even though it follows a not, they were essentially putrid.

They are the best we've got with all the injuries, and a gap or 2 in the best 25.

Hate throws and hate ducking into tackles no matter who does it.
Cripps is a longtime master of the former and Fisher seems to be mastering rhe latter.

The home town umpiring was in force, the worst 50m I've seen in weeks got them their first goal, thwn later they scored another one from a 7.5m kick being paid a mark

...and a bit more...
I have declared myself as a Honey fan.
His rendition of the Club song in our last 2 wins raised an eyebrow.
He needs to know how important a win and the singing of the song is to Carltonia ... and, its a window to the passion one has for the team and club. Just sayin.

Good win, too bad about the second quarter.
A lot of questions for the whole team in that quarter.

Obvious throws, every game.
Not ball that is squeezed or tapped out of possession.
I don't like it because it perpetuates interpretation issues that impact at crucial times, let alone not rewarding the defender ... goes against the grain of fair and equitable.

Good to see given he comes from a Collingwood family.

Second quarter was awful but I thought it was very important we still managed to kick 3 goals in it.

Had a feeling Cerra would rebound well & he did. Big credit to him. Liked Doc's game too, consistent all day.

Been a really good round for us!

Was listening to abc Perth on the afl app. After the game they had cerra who they lauded as being on their show a lot while playing for freo.

The chick commentator asks if he knew carlton hadn't beaten west coast for a while. You must have been used to it playing for freo. Thud!

That had upset and history written all over it. Sheed out and others helps, but we did we what we had to, win! With a percentage boost. We can’t fail from here unless we slip against Adelaide and GWS.

I just remembered Mick Malloy on the front bar talking about how much of a danger game this was

I can't see them as the future but for whatever reason, they are still playing...which is more than I can say about Charlie Constable who you wanted instead of O'Brien
