The Eagles will be without Yeo, McGovern, Sheed and Oscar Allen so are still a fair way from full strength.
My main concern is the forecast of wet weather - I hope we have learned from our mistakes against Richmond.

Wasn't it last year we played them at the SCG & they had a heap out & did us by 4 goals?

Having said that I still think we'll win

Doubt Big Durds plays if it's very wet

I can't remember the last time we beat them.
Surely it wasn't the game where Troy Menzel kicked a late goal to win it?

It was. https://www.blueseum.org/Round+6%2C+2014

We haven’t beaten this mob since round 6 2014. They have beaten us 7 times since then.

No current Carlton player has played in a winning side for the Blues against WCE.

How many talls to WC have? Surely Weiters, Young and one of Kemp/Plow is sufficient?
If playing as a defender is the only option for Newnes, I'd drop him. He was terrible last week and bring in Stocker.
Strange he didn't come in last week.
Other changes I agree with though not as fussed as some re the Plow v Kemp spot.

IIRC Yazz kicked some nice goals on the run

Teague's strategy and game plan didnt work.

WCE were rubbish TBH, but we were pathetic on that day.

Like beating the Giants in Western Sydney it's time to put a line through another HooDoo

Yep - time to break another streak from opposition teams....

Perhaps we could release a "The Streak" DVD at the end of this year?

Jeez. I was sure we'd beaten them since and I just couldn't recall.

That was a pretty good win though. Etihad was pumping!

Am I the only still perplexed by the "Plowman out" narrative at every chance?

From where I have been sitting including in front of the TV and at games watching, he goes well...very well in many instances.

I get the whipping boy bit, but I thought we were beyond that now.

He has been very good...to exceptional, in some matches this year.

Anyway....

I haven't been in the anti Plowman camp and still aren't but he makes a lot of basic mistakes and gets caught out a lot. I don't like him playing deep. Don't think it's his go. More running HB or even wing

We have McGovern Marchbank Parks Kemp that all suit the roll better. Everyone fit I don't think Plowman is close to best 22

With Weitering back I would play Weitering Young & Kemp as our talls supported by Docherty Saad Newman and possibly Cottrell or Newnes? Boyd & Williams are in when fit

Last year's loss to these guys was our worst of the year. Everything on the line and they had no one and we folded.

This game looms as similarly crucial, we need to beat wce

I wasn’t advocating for him to be dropped, I was advocating for two defenders to come in, and he seems the logical one to be squeezed out as I see Kemp as being more mobile.
