Agree. Plow for me too. Never been in the Plow is good camp or the Plow is hopeless camp. Has played good games and had some shockers, but his recent form has been really good.
Kemp unlucky to miss out if Weiters returns but that's just the way it is.

I have never had an issue with Plowman but he does get caught out badly in many one on ones. I have always thought he is much better up the ground not deep one on one. His junior footy was as a running HBF/Wingman. That's what SOS saw him as.

I watched Plow yesterday and in the absence of Weiters he plays an important leadership role in helping to organise and setup our relatively inexperienced defence. For years we left him exposed one out under siege from our poor defensive structure but he is a better player in a well structured defence.

My guess

B: Boyd Young Plowman
HB: Docherty Kemp Saad
C: Newnes Cripps O’Brien
HF: Durdin McKay Fisher
F: Silvagni Curnow Owies/Honey
Foll: TDK Hewett Walsh
Int: Kennedy Newman Cerra Cottrell (Hayes)

Assuming Pittonet Weitering need another week. If they are fit then Weitering for Kemp and Pittonet for ???? (I honestly have no idea)

I'm expecting the Saints to come out firing after copping it from their fans and the press all week. They will be a tough opponent IMO and we will need to be at our best. This will be a real test of our maturity and will probably reveal whether or not we are the real deal. I'm already feeling nervous about this match.

Saints were without Ryder and Brad Hill.
2 of their most important players structurally. Don't take them lightly. They'll come out smoking after the public kicking they're going to cop this week. Our contested game needs to be similar to yesterdays.

Jack Steele's first game back too. Reckon he'll be better for the run. This has danger game written all over it.

They will 100% come out firing cheap shots like they always do to try and rile us up.
I think this time we will be more than ready tho.

Smash them in the first quarter and destroy any confidence they have left.

They are a MUCH better team when Ryder plays.
Plus they turned it on earlier in the season when their integrity was challenged, as it will be this week.
This is another huge game for us. Win this, and we are on our way to finals.
Lose, and we’re still vulnerable (although the win against Freo has helped tremendously).

I cant see them bringing Honey in for one game and then dropping him. I think he has more upside than Owies. So I'd bring Stocker in for Boyd, and maybe Owies for Motlop, but would be happy enough for Motlop to stay in.

love Honey but Owies is elite ranking for tackles and F50 tackles (2 per game) in the AFL. pretty sure at one point recently he had highest ranking in AFL for F50 tackles. excellent kicking efficiency, kicks goals where other forwards would miss their shots from.

we’ve gone from a small forwards drought (apart from a waning Eddie for a couple of years) in the teague/voss era to a good choice of young developing small forward options

durdin was amazing uo and down the ground today if not getting much action in front of the stocks himself. good to see Fisher working forward into midfield. starting to get a bit of form and touch running through the centre.

don’t think voss will want to make four changes no matter how many are available or need managing. it doesn’t seem like that sort of match committee, a bit conservative, not sure why some players have been keeping their spots until now.

you gotta say the faith in Newnes, LOB and Cotters paying off a treat today and last couple of weeks really. Hayes will have to do something special to replace one of them purely on form.

Wonder if they'll bring Higgins back for some diving and flopping.
