Do we think Lewis Fogarty might get a call up?

Kemp and Honey for Durdin and Martin

Correct team selection. Let’s go boys!

Freo have lost Acres, Switkowski & Walters but regain Henry, Fredericks & Taberner.
I’m not sure Kemp is really a downgrade on Durdin. Honey is a downgrade on good Martin but possibly an upgrade on poor Martin?

Once again ... selectors have done nothing to boost our midfield which has been soundly beaten in the last 2 weeks.

I feel like the reason we have been beaten in midfield has less to do with the quality of the players and more to do with application/intent.
I’m not sure there are players in the VFL who are capable of improving in that area.
The solution lies in getting back to the hunter mentality we have brought for most of the year.

I think Setterfield or fogarty will be sub.

Is there another obvious other than Dow? I'm just asking.

Carroll? He's had a shot, and had enough for now.
Hayes? He's only come back last week after injured for 3 weeks.
Not much else me thinks.

Lets hope the engine room flexes its muscle and a bit of speed on the outside comes from the wings.
6-6-6 might be good to us if that happens.

Yeah. Time to Flex our muscles.
Impose ourselves.
Get it to Harry & Charlie

Not sure if I'm excited about these changes.
We have gone like for like again which I don't mind, but our midfield has been soundly beaten two weeks running.
It's either confidence or stubbornness from the coaching and selection panel, I hope it's the former.

On a positive note they have lost Acres who in his last game had 692m gained.

Concerns:
Serong and Fyfe both had 6 clearances each.
Brodie had 8 tackles.
Brayshaw had 6 tackles and 37 disposals with 19 of those handballs.

I hope Voss has some new tricks up his sleeve or at least a new plan.
Cripps, Hewett and Kennedy need better games this week for us to have a chance against their midfield.

I hope we add Setters based on the emergency list.

Tough game to win based on the last two weeks.

Sensible changes. We can win this

I see people talk about Brayshaw and Fyfe but really Freo's success and top 4 has been due to the ruthless work done by their Unknown players whom still don't get enough Credit....

if Carlton are to win, they need to keep a close eye on Will Brodie and Serong.... They have been the damaging midfielders all season!

I am Glad Walters isn't playing, he always have a blinder against us!

Very true on all counts.
Although I feel like keeping Brayshaw quiet would help.

Changed his name to Hectares.

I doubt taberner plays based on talk this week, hope I'm right as he stretches us.

We can definitely win this but it is a real throw down to our midfield. Do what you did to Richmond in Rd 1 in the middle, good spread of goalkickers, and we win.

Freo very very good this year.

Selections of Kemp and Honey predictable based on the Voss history of like for like. Intensity around the ball needs to be 110% this week or we lose.
GO BLUES!

Great to see Honey in.
He is a quality footballer. Fast, strong, has X Factor, skilled, knows where the goals are.
IMO shows Martin that he is replaceable.
I have been impressed with the MCs selections this year - they have shown a willingness to dump players and promote quickly the players they clearly rate long term.

I agree. I suspect we've been worked out in the middle.
Also as much as TDK has tried he isn't a top class ruckman yet, and we obviously miss Pitto.

Most experts tipping Fockers which is natural given ladder position, form and injuries, but I hope we can cause an upset there. It is 95% above the shoulders right?

I actually think had it not rained last week and has we not been so inept in the train early we could have won that game. Yes the I50s differential was enormous but I put that down to the weather and the team being ill prepared for it. When the rained eased we looked better and we got close late.

If we can sort out the midfield woes we have been having then hopefully we can start to win the territory battle again. It's been a while !

Seriously Freo are good but they aren't the best team in 100 years, far from it.

But maybe I am wrong to be quietly optimistic. Maybe our team just isn't ready yet.

I’d be pretty surprised if Taberner doesn’t play, despite the chat earlier this week. Can’t see the logic in flying a bloke who is close to 30 with a history of soft tissue injuries over to Melbourne and back to sit in the coaches box when he could be getting another game under his belt in the WAFL. He’ll play to stretch our defence and it makes sense from there perspective.
