Thanks to Syd giving a report on the reserves

We know Voss likes the Owies, Durdin combo but Honey will be hard to keep out especially with the current level of contribution.

Hayes to a wing to maybe get a bit more run.

If the new Durdin does not come up, Kemp.

Maybe give Kennedy a rest for either Setterfield or Dow.

Will only have durdin for this game, not Durdin.

essenPEDs beat the saints tonight, by 35 points.

saints vulnerable but will be looking forward to taking us while we’re a bit injury distressed. next man up, next man up.

Honey (HF or wing) and Setters (inside) in for Martin and big Durdin. lock that. Kennedy needs to show a lot at training to show he’s not carrying to much soreness. i’d rather see Dow coiffing it up in the centre than Kennedy have another under par game (unless he’s playing a hard tag which i doubt).

Kennedys under par game still had 21 possessions and the most clearances for us. In only 60% game time.
He struggled with the wet conditions but he wasn't the only one.
Dow doesn't deserve to displace him on last nights VFL performance.

Might he time to stick the No.1 jumper back down to defence to Save Our Souls.

Posted in reserves thread but i wouldn't hesitate to bring Honey in for Martin. Kemp comes in because of necessity - he was undersized v Josh Bruce last night but he battled hard.
You can mount an argument for any of Setterfield, Fogarty, Carroll & Stocker based on last night but I think Boyd holds his spot and one of the former three only come in for Cottrell.
I suspect that wont happen and Cottrell will stay in because Marvel is a quicker deck and he has greater running capacity. I haven't mentioned Dow because i thought he was just ok last night...although given his overall season I wouldn't begrudge him another chance

Taberner and Lobb will Freo's main targets up forward however Fyfe and Logue will no doubt be used to try and stretch our undersized defence
Kemp must come in to the side.

Honey very good last night. In for Martin.
Kemp in for Durdin by necessity.
Setterfield, Dow, Carroll, Fog and Stocker all pretty good last night so may come into calculations. From what I saw last night, Setterfield may be leading the pack but query whether any other change beyond Martin and Durdin out occurs

Setterfield has to play at centre bounce. When he was on song last year and the year before he played best as a clearance player….not as a wing.

I really like him and rate him….always have. Play them in their right positions and they do well….who would have thought?

He plays on the wing in the 2's

I think I'm leaning toward just Kemp & Honey. Reluctant to make unforced changes during an injury crisis. We have to somehow settle this side, & we've had to make changes to the team out of necessity pretty much every week of the season.

Can kind of see a case for Setterfield but at this stage I only want to make extra changes if someone's form in the 1s is compellingly poor, or compellingly good in the 2s

That's interesting he only played 60%. He's got some big knocks lately.

Did he play forward at any stage on Thurs? I thought that might’ve been worth a try in those conditions

Last week’s game wouldn’t have been more than 20min old before the MC were wishing they had done more to replace Cerra. You can add that to the ‘forced’ changes this week.

Agreed Crusader, think our midfield was a bit light on against Richmond, so I'd consider bringing in Setters in a like-for-unlike (?) swap. Maybe Cotters goes back to medisub duties?

Thank you BV. It seems people have the axe out again and are missing the key points of carrying something and spending a lot of time on the bench.
