Eat a bunch of dicks you dirty filthy black and red cauliflower

I felt much the same prior to the start, just so nervous. I debated whether I'd even watch the game, the thought of losing to this mob was just too horrible to contemplate.

LOB is a decent outside runner who must be given the ball. If Stocker can run put him on the wing.

I thought big trouble when Cerra went off but Cottrell played a nice game. So did Boyd.

TDK is getting better all the time but tonight he didn't have all that much opposition.

Boyd played a nice game?

Not many disposals but I thought it was a solid defensive game.

A win but disappointing overall but as you say bank the win hopefully another match closer to the finals
Disappointing loss in clearance
When Shiel is playing all over you disappointing

3rd and 4th quarters on remote control

Will struggle against a good opposition if you move the ball like we did in 3rd and 4th quarters
Liked that they booed Saad everytime he got the ball and he got plenty

Docs excellent Walsh Hewitt and Newman was almost BOG

Some dumb football third and fourth quarters where ball was directed to Owies when Charlie and H on a lead and had man beaten

Marchbank got through which is good but took a while to acclimatise to pace
Young very good recruiting played excellent game on Wright
Be nice if next match we don’t have to activate our sub about quarter time

I must admit pregame I was terrified they'd find an extra gear for their 150th bullshit, and I'd have taken any win, but halfway through the 3rd quarter I was baying for bomber blood. Would have like to really shit on them, but now I look back to pregame jitters and I'll take it and move on.

It'd be nice to get through a first quarter without someone getting subbed out of the game. Hope it's not too bad and only out for a couple. Going to have to play a lot better than tonight if we're going to win next week. Hopefully it was a case of the scum dragging us down to their level and we lift next week.

Anyway, we got the win and rained on their celebration so @#$%&! em. Go Blues

Not pretty but in the end clinical football, just did enough to keep the opposition at bay. The game of football was played like it had to be, won't read negatives into it, in the next three weeks we have the opportunity to define our season. Good luck boys. And I liked Voss' animated spray at 3/4 time. Old fashioned coaching.

No team can be hot ever week, happy that even though we were nowhere near our best we had a comfortable win.

In the 70s & 80s we had some of the most average wins you could imagine. Good teams do this on a regular basis, lift for the big matches. Very interested to see what the next 3 weeks brings.

I have to say the atmosphere at the game was pretty flat.

It seemed that way on TV, I guess the druggies didn't really have much to cheer about.

I am so happy we beat them, two of my business partners are former Essendon* players, my life would be unbearable this week if they had won.

Yes Miss….

it came across like that on the tv…!

I know two Doomed supporters…and spoke
to one yesterday…and the other today…both
were very flat…and not at ALL confident…!

I’d say their crowd felt like that in general…!

kindest regards tommi

funny thing…one of the Doomed mates is
head Geriatrician at St Vincent’s …and the
other is a Physician in ED at Cabrini…!

HA…both very reasonable guys i must admit…
we laugh about our situation…!

I know we won ugly - but the commentary was a disgrace.

Essendon** we’re consistently talked up - a great list blah blah, how good they’d be in two years blah blah.

We’re was the little boy in the crowd to tell it like it is - these shit stains aren’t wearing any @#$%&! clothes.

According to ch7 premiership favourites for next season....especially once Jakey Stringer gets a good run of games under his belt

Ugly win
Given injuries we had a good result
Young has been a great swap for SPS

We played a bit cute at times…lots of taps to each other and players trying to sell candy. We seemed like we were cruising along and just not into it. A bit lazy at times.

Good to be bad and still win but gee it was about as exciting as watching paint dry.

We need to be very careful …if those behinds were goals in the 3rd quarter we might have been crying. Voss needs to contain himself, he’s pissed off and it came through in the press conference. I don’t blame him but he’s got to use it productively and not let it spread like a cancer.

I didn’t see the press conference but I think it’s ok for Voss to show a bit of mongrel. We have done well so far but now begins the toughest part of the season through winter and with 3 massive games for us which could determine whether we play finals and if so, how far we can go.
And even more important than that, we - of all teams - cannot afford to lapse into complacency like we have done over the past years when we win a couple of games.
We must get back to a hard, uncompromising brand and maintain our game plan all the time, every week so that when the heat is on against the best teams, that is what we do rather than revert to anything else.
Longmuir was clearly pissed off a few weeks ago and told the players publicly they were getting ahead of themselves.
I think this is the Voss version of that.

Everyone feel it's going to be a great weekend?

Enjoy it.

Cazzeman wins the red. Yes.

I know we played cute footy in 3rd & 4th and wasted an opportunity to boost percentage.

Seems like we do what's needed to win and keep Effendrug at arms length and content with that.

I thought we would win by 5 goals...only bc I thought umps would join the party, they conditioned players for this game and had a full list, and they might play above themselves...and they did.

Let's not kid ourselves, Effendruggies were crap last night and a bottom 4 team. We need to get better.

Marchbank first couple possessions looked like he hadn't missed a beat and so glad he is back. He struggles one on one against players 10cm taller and heavier but his skills on both sides of the body are what our backline need.

Young is a star in the making

Docherty was my BOG. What an amazing year. AA pencil that in.

Jack was great but he has to kick those straight forward shots. He's an AFL footballer...a forward.

Durdin missed opportnunity to run into open goal. He has to be opportunistic. It's his job.

Cottrell and LOB did a lot of good things and played a role but we need to upgrade on these 2 when we can. Good depth and not Finals players imo.

I love what TDK brings to the team and his effort is commendable but Really need Pitto back....soon.

Jack was fantastic against Draper.

Thought Jack did better against Draper than TDK.

Can't believe we didn't keep Philip as a break glass option for Ruck. Totally get why we delisted Levi after his struggles last year
