Condolences to the whole family.

Essendon* great Matthew Lloyd and his family are mourning the loss of their beloved father John.

John, who played 29 games for Carlton over three seasons from 1965 to 1967, passed away on Wednesday after a battle with cancer. He was 77.

And of course the father of our current Head of Football.

Condolences to the family.

Both teams might wear black armbands in round 13?

Condolences to the Lloyd family.

Poor fella thought he'd played enough games for Carlton (20 was required back in John's day to claim) father son selection for Matt.

Unfortunately the AFL increased the minimum games for FS from 20 to 50.

That was Ian Collins when he was In charge of Football Operations at the AFL.
