Just saw the footage of Walsh blazing away in the dying seconds and not hitting up Mots who was home alone about 20mins out.

Missed it by that much.

That’s a big call, given neither player has nominated.

Talk to them.
Just stop it, BSOS is at old Xavs and only just started playing a few weeks back.
He couldn't get a game before, what's the basis for him being good enough now?

Setters might win a reprieve then. at least does the defensive stuff and often leads in tackles for the mids. I’m hoping they’re doing a Kennedy with Setters and he has clear instructions of what to work on so when he comes back eventually (hopefully through playing blinders in the VFL if they play him there) he’s at the next level and doesn’t fumble and mis-kick as much.

We had our opportunities as well 56 inside 50's to 51. More clearances as well.
The lack of another marking forward killed us. The Pies triple teamed Charlie and he did amazingly well to kick 4 goals.
The choice of Carroll as sub was foolish. (Not hindsight, I said it in the pre-match thread). The last thing we needed was another mid/forward who isn't strong overhead.
Motlop found out what pressure footy is about. What's happened to Stocker? He's gone from being a very good kick to shanking most. :?
How good was Saad? Keogh thinks he's not good because he's only a half back  but FMD, he's a bloody good one.
We really missed Matt Kennedy. His ability to link our backline with our forward line with his overhead skills were sadly lacking.
We're at a bit of a tipping point with injuries at the moment. We just need to hang on to our top 8 position until the reinforcements come back in. Hopefully we can.

The mid-season draft will be very interesting. Nick Austin has been a star so far. Hopefully he can pull some rabbits out of his hat.

Charlie scored zero AFLCA votes. if he had have had the ball instead of SOS in the dying movements and snapped truely i bet he would have scored 10 AFLCA votes for the game high player. seems like he played amazing given the way the game was played around him (i still have to review the game).

Casboult would be handy right now. Can play forward , ruck and defense.

yep. unfortunately had a stinker of a season last year. we’re games where his AF points were in the negative numbers and even his reliable paws didn’t seem to be clunking it anymore.

i’m glad for Big Tofu that he’s getting a consistent role at Suns and not having to play a third wing role like he was at Blues last year and he would have been battling for selection till now this year if he wasn’t axed.

knowing a few of the players isn’t a big reason to recruit someone (even in the case of bring back Eddie Betts). Cerra and Hewitt didn’t know the players and slotted right into the midfield system.

like Voss said. recruit for the future not for the recent past and present.

I agree. Especially since he was playing on 2 opponents all day.

Pretty safe to say that after the Brisbane coaching years Vossy would be a fan of long term recruiting decisions.

Fev says hi!

I agree. Especially since he was getting molested by 2 opponents all day.
