Most games I've been to this year, like most I go with the scars and foreboding feeling of years past.

Often it's because someone is playing who 'always smashes us'.

Whether real or perceived, who are those players who ALWAYS SMASH US, or Brad Moran their way to TC folklore? Not one off games but those guys who make you feel like I do before these games.

Jason Winderlich was one who always caused us trouble.

Nicky Winmar was always one until that day when he caused himself more trouble.

Plugger was always brutal to us

Brad Green had the obvious big game but he often beat us.

Last night it was Luke Parker I was worried about, rarely has a bad game against us.

In reverse, I reckon Essendon* supporters have nightmares about Pearce and Lappin.

Who's living rent free in your head?

I catch up with Michael quite regularly in Darwin (St Mary's Club).

I regularly tell him it was touched! ( His alleged goal that SOS touched) The only other issue of contention is my refusal to return his Essendon* footy socks that he wore in a final and later wore on my boat when we went to Melville Island fishing for a weekend. It was not the 1993 grand final as I would have burnt those. I am sure he said it was the 1999 prelim, but when I refused to give them back he denied telling me it was 1999. I think he is only feigning his annoyance as he really wants to forget about the '99 prelim. I just want to forget the GF against North! (And the socks are still in my sock drawer 22 years later!)

 The sock drawer is sacred space!

Those socks should be keel-hauled, or lashed to the bow of your boat - pirate style.

Unless, of course, you’ve got teenage boys. Then their sock drawer would be just perfect.

the plonker who played for GWS, but is now at Port.

Absolute shit truck every week (as much as an AFL player can be a shit truck), but good for 5 goals every time we played GWS.

Aaron Sandilands would be completely ineffective whenever he rested forward for the rest of the season, but would always turn into Paul Salmon, inevitably matched up one out in the square on Bret Thornton or David Teague.

Callum Sinclair 2017-2019. Turned into Polly Farmer against us.
