I like Carroll but think he needs a spell. Ditto Motlop if Martin is ready to return.

Win/Loss record sits at 128-128

Old Carlton had a history of losing games before the Bye.
Fortunately this is New Carlton!
Go Blues!

I’m with humpers

Motlop will be a gun but some costly turnovers in amongst the good stuff- to be expected at this stage. Martin to take his place. And need to have another contested mark with Harry still out

Wonder if marchbank is ready?
Swap Carroll for marchbank?

Cerra was quiet but probably gets a pass but Dow is waiting!

Cerra may not have had alot of it, but what he did was mostly good.

One of the first picked along with his midfield buddies.

Motlop is really hungry. He and Durdin are a danger around goals. So, I'd be happy for him to stay in. He is learning really fast. I'd like Dow to get a chance. We need depth and he needs his chance. Carroll could have a rest. He is a talent and will be back. Owies was better this game and Cottrell contributed well. Cerra no way should he be dropped.

Maybe I've been spooked by the Zac W injury, but Martin has had a history of calf issues. This isn't his first one. Our forward line is functioning very well without him. I'm inclined to give him another week and the bye before bringing him back. Take absolutely no chances.
Of course that's just me. I have little doubt if he's declared fit, he'll play next week.

If we win it's 5 straight. Be first time since Kouta ruled the comp in 2000.

It’s a tough week to try and force your way back in, winning form being good form.

Motlop had four chances for 1.3, imagine if he’d kicked straight! And the energy he brings….

Carroll probably found the pace a little hot especially when they came at us but how valuable is that experience? Here’s what it takes.

If you’d said to me at the start of the year I’d be writing this I’d have laughed at you:

No changes

Would like Kemp to come in and play forward. Still believe we need an extra tall.
I think if Martin is fit, he plays. Is in our best starting 18.
Not sure who goes out and they will be tough calls but we become better with both changes.

I’d like Kemp to come in and I’d be very tempted to bring in Mirkov just to compete. Stops Cripps in the ruck, allows TDK to have some time up forward and help Charlie and also Jack.

We are doing an awesome job but worried about pressure on players having to play taller each week.

I think the idea is Marchbank will return after the bye.

Dow replacing Cerra. Ummmmm Na.

It’s ok for some of our mids to have a quiet day here and there. Cerra will still have someone good running with him dont you worry about that. Cant say the same about Dow.

If Marchbank plays 4 quarters at the level he did last game I would bring him in and push Young forward to play on Darcy Moore and make him somewhat accountable.
Young could play 2nd ruck and this would give JSOS a chop out and Cripps would go back to being a bull at the stoppages.
Carroll would be rested.

Pies don't have a lot up forward and this game and Bombers game would be far better for Marchbank to return than Tigers Saints Freo
