With the rolling fixture finalised, I'm thinking of heading to Perth for the west coast game.

Given the large membership base of the Eagles, is it hard to get public tickets to games? I know they're horrible right now but just want to make sure so I don't head over there without tickets.

Has Optus stadium made it easy to get general admission? Do blues members get some sort of priority window to buy tickets?

Cheers in advance.

Blues long distance and interstate members get the chance to purchase discount reserve seats for $30 (half price) and $60 for any guests (full price). I am not sure what other levels of Blues membership gets you the same access to these tickets though?

Given they only got 27,000 to their home game against Melbourne last week, you would assume that you will be able to get a GA ticket if they are still going this badly in 6 weeks' time, however we do have a much larger following in WA than the Dees. I reckon we would still pull 35k if it was this week.

But if the Eagles improve over the next 6 weeks, then this number will jump up further and could be pushing 40-45k. Regardless, you would need to be online and ready to purchase when they go on sale (about a week before the game).

I could get you a reserved seat ticket for $60 if you can't sort anything out. I am sure there will be others that could assist if you get stuck. I reckon you will get in to the ground one way or another.

It's a great stadium to watch the footy! The thing I love the most is that I can walk home afterwards! :smoking:

It seems like Ticketmaster hasn't released sales yet for our game, but the eagles games that are listed beforehand have heaps of availability.

But gee, what's with the ticket prices at Optus stadium?! $60 to sit up in the nosebleeds.

Hey Traveller86 - I received a text from the club last night in relation to the Eagles game at Optus Stadium on Sunday, July 10th:

"Tickets for our Rd 17 clash with West Coast will go on sale for members the week of the game. You will receive official ticketing communication in the lead up with everything you need to know. Unfortunately, guest passes will not be available. We look forward to seeing you at Optus Stadium. Go Blues!"

So it looks like no one will be able to buy a ticket until the week of the game, which is very frustrating! Also, I won't be able to buy any guest passes with my interstate membership, so I will have to go to the game by myself!! :donk:

I'd say that the combination of the Eagles getting better and Carlton having a strong following in WA have forced Optus to make it a fully ticketed event. I keep forgetting that the Eagles have almost 100,000 members and so if they are even a sniff of a chance to win, they will probably get 35-40k turn up.

My brother (who lives in Melbourne) has 2 x Captain's Club memberships, so I might try to buy a couple of tickets together and get someone to come with me. I don't want to be surrounded by Eagles morons alone!

There's usually a Carlton Bay or 2 allocated (or was at subiaco). I'm heading over with my daughter, don't really want to sit near the cheersquadders, lovely people though I'm sure they are...

Will keep an eye out.

Optus ticketing really is a joke.

Dont think we get bays now at Optus.

Carlton cheersquad end is bays 105 etc

To not have the sun in your face for an afternoon game try and get the side of the ground with bay numbers in the teens or 20's

I could be wrong but I think that was just a byproduct of how the bays were released for sale to the public and being snapped up by all the blues supporters here.

When I went online to get tickets for the freo game here earlier this year there wasn’t many options. We ended up behind the players benches in bay 117 and surrounded by freo idiots

Yep this is exactly how it goes. Given the Eagles still strong membership there will be even fewer options (regardless that most of the blue rinse set only go when they're winning).

How hostile are Perth fans that support their clubs compared to Adelaide fans who I know are feral and you need to be on your guard?

If you aren’t a dick you will be fine.

Prepare to be annoyed though at the boos and constant whinging about umpire decisions.
