revised my ladder predictor. just for fun i put Blues down for the win in every remaining game (odds would be 64:1 if we’re 2:1 for each game — not that i gamble) then other games go on ladder position then the top four would all be sitting on 68 points (17 wins) and therefore percentage gets pretty interesting (ours is obviously not that flash).

as i write this one of the channel seven hosts just backed the blues to beat the Cats. yeah maybe.

12 wins could very well be enough now after last nights result. Both the dogs and saints have tough runs home and are only on 9 wins, with five to play and inferior percentage to us.

Yeah, we are 2 games clear of 8th now.

With Port and Suns losing today there's basically 3 teams left in contention.

Richmond have the easiest run on paper and Dogs the hardest, StK somewhere in the middle.

Of course... Anything can happen. I wonder if clubs are going to impose their own type of lockdowns to avoid COVID.

Remember a month or two ago when some were confidently stating 13 wins wouldn't be enough and that our season was effectively cooked at 9w4l or whatever? Good times.

Yeah, I have been having a chuckle about that for a while. I knew there would be many twists and turns to come... I have been saying it for weeks.

The media had the results for all games for the rest of the season mapped out since the bye rounds and most people lapped it up.

History provides a pretty solid guide as to how many wins are required to make the 8 and it looks like this year is no different.
