Well, there you go - the stress of supporting Carlton can send a guy cold turkey!

Wow. I am not a betting man, but I think I am off to drop a pineapple or two on this.

Great value!

Will we be the first team in history to be in the eight for 21 rounds and miss out?

We've now shortened to $3.50 to miss the top 8.
Still good value.

That would be 22 rounds - if the Dogs are to kick us out, it won't be until the final round.... :yikes:

No we did it in 1977 Tigers beat us by 4 points on the last round I think and everything that day went wrong ie we lost about 4 players to injury and others playing wounded
Bit like this season really
History repeats

Sticks' last game. Finished it on the bench injured. Off memory had a huge lead in first half before injuries hit. 25 years on and not much has changed.

How were you in 1977?
We were in the 5 all year until bumped out by Footscray in the last round.
https://afltables.com/afl/seas/1977.html

I remember having a bet with a kid at school for a "buck" on the granny. It was a joke then that you bet someone a buck and gave them a kick up the backside. But to my surprise this kid turned up on the Monday after the GF replay with a dollar note in hand.
I bought a family apple pie from the milk bar for 79c and took it home to mum.

Such a good story reminding us of the simple days.
