I did a ladder predictor and we can definitely make it with 12.5 wins

If we beat Freo, WC, saints, GC, and GWS plus one of Port, Collingwood, or Melbourne - we would probably scrape in to 7th or 8th

Not impossible, but knowing us we’ll prob come out and get belted by Freo next week and I will have wasted 10 minutes of my life

Definetely with 12.5.
Possibly with 11.5.

But we haven't been beaten for 3 weeks, and winning tastes great: ask the players.
They've been nourished, and know what they can do even without a CHB and Ruck, coz that's what they are doing.

Kemp and Boyd have been great. Kemp has been my big surprise.
Martin and Cuningham make a huge difference.

We haven't been beaten for almost an entire month. 2 days short of a month in fact.

Easy Paddy...you got me shakin' all over, like we are Finals bound. We mights lose a game between now and round 24, but I doubt it...lookin' at this momentum thing and tommi's Nostadamus moment to start this thread.

Port at Marvel - they've gotta lose at some point right?

Eagles at Marvel - lol well.

Filth at the G - can't see it happening.

Saints at Marvel - they are gettable.

Melb at the G - see above, especially if they're having one of their semi-regular stinker games.

GCS at GC - we usually suck up there, but if they're out of finals contention they might have shut up shop.

Giants at Marvel - this could be the decider!!

St.K, Dogs, and Crows have all lost 3 of their last 5, so they are the ones who seem most gettable.

I think if we make it we need to start beating top sides starting this weekend. The loser club mentality has affected our fans. Let's run the table.

5-12 is such a logjam on the ladder.

Every game is basically a must win for those sides, which obviously can't happen.

Teams that have Norf and the Eagles get a slight advantage.

I agree. Honestly, if we can keep playing the way we have been over the past month, we will beat Port.

Being at the game yesterday and watching the way we structured our defensive zones at every stoppage was fantastic. We just squeezed the life out of Freo and made them bomb it down the line and/or take risky kicks inside that didn't come off because of the relentless pressure. It felt like I was watching what other teams did to us during that shocking period from Round 5 to Round 13.

If we can pull it off again this week and then have a good win over West Coast as expected, we will go into the Pies game full of confidence. Who knows what can happen between now and then?

Wouldn't it be fantastic to knock off the Filth to get us back into the 8? It would go some way to erasing the pain of last year. I am just glad we don't have to play them in the last round again....

Go Blues!!

Looking at the draw the Cats seem vulnerable too but as usual have 84 home games down at Gmhba

If we play consistently well for the rest of the season we will play finals.

The problem is I don’t recall us playing consistently well since 95……

No need.

There's 7 games to go and I want Effendopes to miss...and they just might.

It's going to be very tight. The way I see it, we play 2 will wins (WC and GC), 1 should win (GWS), 1 could win ( StK) and 3 tough to wins. We can make it but have to win all but 2. That means knocking off one of Port, Pies or Dees... and not dropping any of the others. Tough ask but if we make it, no one will want to meet us

Agree.

It may well be the antithesis of last season, this year first half season crap second half looking the goods.

Maybe in year three it all comes together?

Maybe this time, Blueman could get this right.
WW3 appearing. World economy going to shit.
Carlton getting in the right form towards the end of year.
Carlton making the eight on percentage.
As there have been 2 draws thus far, I can see Carlton, Richmond, Geelong, fighting it out for 7th and 8th spots
