Chances are one more win seals our finals berth

Hard to see teams on the edge winning all 4

Playing around with the ladder predictor, 13 wins could see us finish 9th with poor %

Bulldogs have Geelong... Freo and Giants at home and Hawks
Tigers have Lions at home... Port away and finish with Hawks and Junkies

14 wins and we're a lock for September...

Not sure how you could possibly get that out of the 4 games that are left?!

For us to miss out with 13 wins, the following would have to happen:

- The Bulldogs would have to win all 4 games, or 3, but win them well enough to bridge the 4% we currently have on them.

AND either of the following:

- The Tigers would have to win all 4 of their games. If they win only 3 and they cant finish above us on 13 wins.

OR

- The Saints would have to win all 4 of their games, or 3 by massive margins.

If we win this week, there is pretty much NO CHANCE we can miss finals.

Based on current form, I think the Dogs will finish 8th on 12 wins after losing to the Cats and Freo.

Richmond will finish 9th ( ) with 11 wins and a draw after beating the Hawks and Junkies only.

Saints will finish 10th with 11 wins after beating Hawks only.

Honestly, we could probably still make it if we lost all 4 games in the run home. Let's not test it though!

Dogs need to win 2 more games than us plus %... Tigers can win all 4 imo, hope they don't... forget the Saints

14. Essendon* 7 15 0 87.4%
15. Adelaide 7 15 0 84.9%

I prefer this outcome.

I'd love to face the Cats again in Finals at the G....just to find out if we really let them win last week...coz I hoently feel we gave them that game on a platter. Selwood wont get those ducking/arm lifting frees, (and surely) Nathan Williamson factor doesn't come into it, and we don't pass the ball to them with horrible disposal....and we add Gov, Pitto, Martin, Owies and possibly Boyd and Marchbank, whilst they get back Stewart and Parffit. Cripps wont be dominated by Blicavs, and Young and Weitering will play closer attention to Hawkins and Cameron. Did I mention Jack gets back to playing the HHF link role?

I reckon we can beat them.

But there's absolutely no way it will happen though - there are way too many results that would need to go against current form and logic. You need the combination of at least 2 teams to get unrealistic results and us to get below par results in order for it to happen.

If Tigers win all 4 games, I will eat my own shit, film it and put it on YouTube.

Not that I have much of a clue but pretty much every ladder predictor I've done has us 6th and filth 7th.
If it is pretty much locked in that we play them week 1 going into our round 23 clash, do we rest a few?
I know AFL have brought week off in to try and prevent that, but am sure some of our boys would benefit from 2 weeks off.

Since the pre finals bye there has been more teams do well from outside the top 4 which is attributed to loss of momentum from one game in a month for the top 4 teams which win in the first week
