So do we want Bulldogs to win and help our top 4 chances, or the Lions to help secure us in the 8?

I reckon we want the Bulldogs to win.

We will win enough games to make the 8, it is all about Top 4 now!

I agree.

No point being conservative about all this.

Esp this year.
Just in the sense that the competition is so even, I am not sure any team will back themselves to win 4 on the trot in the finals, so getting the double chance is arguably more important this year.
So let's go for broke.
Let's barrack for the Doggies.

Carlton are sitting on 10 wins and we are going to win a few more games with 8 games left.

Win tomorrow, followed by a win vs WCE (with the return of Weiters & co) and we have achieved Cookies pass mark of more wins than losses and 85K Members.

12 wins with 6 games to go, we are eyeing off a Top 4 finish, let alone Top 8. We have to focus on getting ahead of those above us...we face Lions in round 20.

Doggies win and Carlton win and we take our 4th spot from Lions this weekend.

GO DOGGIES

Doggies beat Lions at the Gabba tomorrow

We are in the Top 4

4 points ahead of Lions

Port beat Freo at Freo
Carlton will be 2 games ahead of Freo, and the percentage gap tighter

That gives us 11 wins after this round! (if Carlton bring it on this Friday like they did vs Fre)
with 7 games to go.

You're onto something Tommi.

Not quite Bondi - Freo are on the same points as us and Brisbane (40). If we win and Freo lose, we will be 1 game clear of them, the same as if Brisbane loses.

Regardless, that win last week was crucial in the grand scheme of things. It was a true 8 point game and keeps us in the hunt.

With 3 x 8 point games to come against Geelong, Brisbane and Melbourne, we truly have our destiny in our own hands. If we make Top 4 from here, we will truly deserve it!

Yeah got a head of myself there Mil...Freo have to lose against Port to rise above them in our top 4 spot....Geelong has Freo's spot

If we win by 200 points the % will be even better

Doesn't matter...I'm liking what you see when you're on the meth.

Bring it on.

Only need to add another 10 percentage points and we are in it deep.

We want a draw. Then neither of their percentages matter.....

Brisbane.
Let's just worry about making the 8 and then we can reset from there.

Alternatively let’s just focus on our own shit and keep winning and the rest will take care of itself.

Exactly!

We are playing 3 out of the top 4 on the run home, beat a few of those and we are there.

I'd go as far as to say that if we keep winning, NO ONE can beat us.
