Took my girls. Was so great to watch my kids singing the song
after such a gutsy win.
Really loved our defensive set up. I thought Plowman was critical early. Weithers brilliant. I'm guessing half their goals came from frees inside 50.
Kennedy was awesome in the last. Ditto Walshy. I really liked the move of starting Walsh across half forward. Bagged 2 goals in the first which was a big win for the coaches box. Than throw him into the middle full of run in the last.
Durdin looked sharp. JSOS great role player.
Fantastic win. Loved so much of what I saw. Wasn't excited until tonight. We are coming.

Outstanding win with a lot going against us during the week on the injury front and GWS had everything to play for.
Final quarter was excellent. All the leaders stood up in that 4th quarter.
Durdin excellent today - best game for the club
JSOS very good as way Fisher
Weiters, Plow and Doc great in the backline
Midfield really dominated across the 4 quarters - Cripps, Walsh, Hewett, Kennedy and Cerra all performed
Loved Charlie ripping GWS’s heart out late. Well held for 3 quarters and then popped up when required like the good key forwards do

Thought if we won today, with all the outs and Cameron's last game against that Giants that we just don't beat at heir home ground - we are the Real Deal
Didn't expect to win, thought it would be the hated "Honorable Loss"
But you Beauty - We WON
So by my own logic - We ARE the REAL DEAL
Great Stuff Blues!!

I don't know why JSOS seems to be so underrated and/or praised. He is way more than a role player!. I'm pretty sure I've said this a few times in other threads, but JSOS is the heart and soul of this mighty football club. Yes Doc is in there too and a couple of others, but, for me JSOS is at the top of them all when it comes to heart and soul!

I rated last week our best game but today even better. Having to play smaller with Pittonet Young & McKay missing, away against a side that had something to play for. They kept coming but we kept responding. This wihout a dominant Cripps as well and losing Williams early.

It is a great win for the club that should keep instilling confidence in the group.

So much upside in Carroll Motlop Durdin TDK Kemp and others. Pittonet McKay McDonald Marchbank McGovern Martin Stocker hopefully all available not long after the bye and Young back next week.

We are also tougher than we have been in years.

Fair way to go but we are on the right track. Go Blues

Quite symbolic

GWS like most teams have had our number for years

Then tonight it changes. And their coach vacates while ours impresses mightily

Ships passing each other in the night

Gotta be happy with pulling away in the last after our injury mishaps, squandering of third quarter opportunities, battling of the home ground Cameron send-off factor, battling of an umpiring ledger not entirely in our favour, and a feeling at half time that we were actually behind and in serious trouble, despite what the scoreboard said.

A possibly bigger test awaits next week, but we're finding ways to win when the tide feels against us. Keep it up, Blues.
