This is a HUGE win for the club and to walk away with a 5 goal win makes it even better - no one can say we were lucky.

Haven't won up there, ever.
Hadn't won interstate yet this year.
Cameron got fed up and quit.
Depleted side due to injury and illness.

I had very little confidence but very happy.

I’m @#$%&! rapt. Huge, huge win. So many (legitimate) reasons where we would of been excused with an honourable loss. Massive, mature performance.

Thought we’d blown our brilliant start and then thought we wasted too many golden chances in the third. To win like that was fantastic.

Just fear our injuries are going to catch up with us very soon.

Ya know….

a great man once said…and i paraphrase
here…”relax folk…we’re a good team this year…
and improving exponentially…(then something
about the first 1/3 then another 1/3)….!

either way you look at it…that was a very
good team performance today…!

kindest regards tommi

From AFL site.

Carlton consolidates their top four position with a 30 point victory. The Blues won all key statistics, including clearances (36-28), inside 50's (64-47) and contested possessions (164-129). While they have been the best scoring team from stoppages this season, it was their turnover game that was the difference, scoring 79% of their score from turnover, which was a positive differential of 33 points.

Regards Cazzesman

Huge win. Not our prettiest but one of the best wins of the season for mine. No Pittonet, no Harry, no Young, and our tall depth decimated with Omac and McGovern out. GWS then have their send off game for Leon and we lose Williams early. So many reasons we should have lost this game and we were able to grind it out. Different mentality to last year. Thank you Michael Voss!

Great post... was about to say the same... the signs of a maturing team

Also massive to bag these wins against lower sides even though we were up against as we will have some much tougher challenges to come

Kayo/Foxtel were just taking the CH7 feed, they have no cameras at the ground.

The last 3 weeks have seen us absorb pressure in the first half, and then outplay teams in the second half. This is what good, resilient teams do. I like this trend.

Ok thanks everyone. I never watch channel 7 anymore. I only watch on Kayo.

But hows that win ? So good. I’m starting to believe now. That was a big test for us. The next few games will be equally as tough, but hopefully we can jag some more wins along the way.

It’s a worry, but we have Young back next week, hopefully Stocker too.

Marchy stringing some VFL games together then back in firsts would also be great.

First win at that ground
First win over them in 5 years
3rd win in the past 30 years in Sydney

I have only seen bits of the game, looking forward to watching the replay.
What a great win, didn't really give us much chance after our injuries and the Cameron departure.
Are we really 7-2?

Impressive win

in the past we would have lost and our players would have chaired Leon Cameron off the ground.

Have no idea how to quote myself but i did think there was no reason we couldn't win our next 3 and be 7-2 after our loss to Freo.
Bit of luck with injury (not asking for much - just a bit) and this team is on their way

Big game this Friday night

Go Blues

Best win for the year for the club given the various things stacked against us going into the game. That's a sign the team is maturing and improving. A shout out to guys like Plowman and Newnes and Cottrell and Durdin who have been good the last couple weeks and who might not always get the packs on the backs.

Looked like there were more Carlton supporters there than Giants ones.
