Vossy is going to need to summons the ghost of Herb Brooks to pull this off

I feel like the start is important. If we're dominant early it will just reinforce why he resigned and take the emotion out it, they'll fold. If we let it be a contest they'll be in it all game.

Do GWS really want to get stuck in and win for their coach?

They haven't played like it lately and he's quit on them.

We have to basically pray no on else gets COVID in the next few days - we have a short break after this round and if players test positive this weekend, they'll miss two games.

Yes but they’re brave …

Round 3 2001.

One of the best wins I've ever seen.

Just saying

Lewis Young. :yikes: Damn someone ran over a black cat after walking under a ladder. :hitcomputer:

2 of our most important 200 cms guys out will make for an interesting game.

I guess Plowman down back and Kemp forward with SOS/Crippa/Kennedy giving a chop out.

Blues by 18 pts.

Regards Cazzesman

With Young out, they might both play back.

I think the two-tall set up has been going well for us, but if we’re forced to go back to the three, it’s maybe not so bad that they’re capable of playing smaller if the match ups swing the other way.

We’re the second best team at generating an inside 50 from defensive midfield chains, so we’ve just got to focus on not turning the footy over from that initial rebound.

Its not the end of the world if this group is as good as Vossy says.

We can cover their talls with Weitering Kemp & Plowman

They have a tall defensive group. So less bombing and our talls lead to space, or kick a lot of dirty ball for all our forwards to scare the shit out of them.

We have 2 talls, Curnow and Silvagni roaming the forwardline ala Harry & Charlie. Plenty

I'd have Kennedy at Full Forward and he gives Cripps and Hewett a chop out. Call it a resting spot at FF. With plenty of variety going through there we should create something.
2 HHF Carroll & Fisher and the 2 smalls Owies Durdin. Mix it up and hopefully get the feet of a tall, or a pack.

We are the form team, just missing a few: our bookends and No. 1 ruck and intercept mark. Pawns.

Two of the best teams in the league for contested possession differential. They’re #1 over the last four weeks, we’re #2 over the season to-date.

They’re a better tackling side than we are.

No pushovers.

Reading the tea leaves I don’t reckon Hewett will play.

Interested that people here talk as if JSOS is a tall. He isn't. He is a medium forward who is a good mark ie 3rd tall.

Same with Charlie. He is a terrific athlete who can and does play above his height.

Both are mobile which helps.

Only real tall in our forward line is Harry and he is not playing.

Interesting times.

Two very talls in Young and McKay, both over 200cm out to be replaced by one semi tall in Kemp. (194?).

As I said last post, interesting times.

We did actually manage 2 weeks without rain, most of the mud pits that used to be my lawn had dried out. But it's been back to the wet stuff this week. 9mm forecast Friday, none Saturday, 6mm Sunday. Not exactly bucketing down, but it should help a little.
