There was a 15 goal smashing there for the taking, however an 8 goal solid win is one we can't complain too much about! A lot too like about today. I'll single out Cerra, I thought it was his best game in navy Blue today, his disposal and footy smarts were sublime today, more to come please!

Cripps, is truly amazing! Just soooo strong at the contest and he does everything so well!!

Curnow was also sublime today (bar two relatively "easy" set shots) a contested marking beast. He and Mckay, are something to behold,

Fisher, LOB, Carroll, Weiters, Saad, Doc, and a number of others very good today.

The exciting thing is there is so much more improvement in this team!.

Bring on GWS next week!!

That’s what modern footy is about
It’s what you do when you haven’t the ball

Owies and Durdin are very important
Carroll looks like a footballer
Cripps was huge again
I think 74 inside 50 s is a record
It’s hard to keep playing at that standard for 4 quarters
Best win so far this year in my book
Long way to go
No love for Cerra?

Only complaint I have is the small forwards not contributing enough goals.

Yes I acknowledge their immense pressure, but someone needs to be at the fall of the ball as well.

The young fella might get a run next week. Could be an epic debut.

No, because we gave up pick 6, thus must be disliked forever :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

A very good win, ok the last quarter didn’t quite sustain the onslaught, but how many teams that are up by 68 pts at 3/4 time actually win the last quarter. Hard to fault anyone really as a passenger.
One very minor niggle, and perhaps it’s a bit heretical, but Crippa gives me the irrits occasionally, sometimes playing on too quickly and hand balling to someone in a slightly worse position than perhaps if he just went back quickly and did something more substantial, just one or two many times a bit too much lairising.

We were very good, only points of complaint were lack of scoreboard impact of Durdin and Owies, and being hit on transition a bit too easily for my liking.

Still, if you'd told me before the North and Adelaide games we'd win them by 50 and 48 points, I'd have been more than happy.

Boyd good game, really liked his courage on a few occasions. Especially that one in the first quarter.

Cottrell had an impact when he came on also.

TDK was strong in the ruck, really impressive actually.

Some of our foot passing was excellent, especially Kennedy. He really is a super player now that he's fit, just an old fashioned pure tough midfielder. Noticed he started on the ground today rather than the bench as usual.

And well done Williams for getting going after he looked badly hurt at first. He passed the ball superbly from then on so I'm assuming he's OK.

Great to have a kick on the ground after the match too with bluehammer & wolfister, just an excellent evening at the footy! Go Blues!

How good is it sitting there in the last quarter knowing the game is in the bag. Been a while.
Thoroughly enjoying myself at football again. Been a while.
Going into every match now, expecting to win. Been a while.

As for the game - Charlie, Crippa are stars of this competition. Good to have them back.
It told you all Youngy will make us forget Jones quickly and wait until Marchbank comes in.
All this with key personnel still missing. Love footy again. Keep it going baggers......

Cerra was good particularly early.
He is classy but if Cripps goes down the acid test goes on him. Can he find his own ball more often
By the way I hope Martin injured himself early in the first because he was invisible in the first half.
And Mc Adam goes alright
But I reckon you and others wouldn’t admit we missed on a good freebie
By the way I ask you recently what your interpretation of the modern game is.
No reply yet
I answered your question
You going to reply to mine?

Agree re: Boyd. Like his attack and endeavour.

Lots of good contributors- that’s pleasing. But I’m really excited by what Carrol shows - looks to be a real talent.

Went to the game and like others was slightly disappointed with the final quarter. A 15 goals smashing would have been better.
Cripps is a freak.
Lots to like at the moment.

Cerra 1st quarter was terrific

For those feeling disappointed today, imagine how you will feel when we win the next 3 games leading into the bye. We will be 9-2 and you will have the bye to make you feel even more disappointed :smoking:
Go Blues!

I've been hard on you for being a negative contrarian, so I acknowledge and thank you for correcting those who are disappointed that a 68pt lead became a 48pt win. For those feeling deflated, please remember that only a few weeks ago we let a 50pt lead become a 2pt lead and eventual 4pt win, and before that let a 38pt lead become a deficit. We had a reputation for 3rd Q collapses and inability to hold a lead. In the past two weeks we have smashed the opposition in the 3rd Q and never given them a sniff after that. This is a welcome development, let's celebrate it!

I call it the way I see it
We have had a relatively soft draw so far.
Any team can beat anyone else too
Look at GC yesterday.
Really good win today but it’s about process
Cripps has been off the charts so far
So someone has to tag him this week.
Is De Boer still going around
And who plays on Greene

For me it’s about the process
Our pressurewas great today
Top 4 is great but not too interested in it
That’s for simple minded people

It was nice to go to the footy and never really be worried. Crows never felt like they were going to challenge us.

Boyd was heaps better.

Carroll was a bit quiet but he is a second gamer.

I thought the crowd was decent for Sunday twilight on Mothers day.

Special shout-out to Young. I think he’s been better than okay every game he’s played.

I’m also so wrapped with Docherty’s game. His is leadership and voice is obvious even on the 3rd deck.

Charlie is in such great form and is clearly enjoying his footy. Always looking for ways to get involved and making second efforts. 12 months ago I wasn’t sure it was possible.

We still have heaps to work on, especially in defensive transition where we can look a little brittle. It seems incredible that we’ve sitting comfortably 4th best in the comp. But if we can get our act together by September look out!
