Assume the changes will be Hewett for Newnes and Williams for Stocker (inj)

I have watched the game for 60 years and turned to Mrs Teddy and said "what was that for"?

In the action, below the shoulder, what is the report going to consist of. "Carlton player".

Williams seems like the obvious replacement for Stocker.

Hewitt is an automatic selection if available, probably for Newnes? I thought Newnes did OK but it’s hard to see who else to drop (assuming there’s no unexpected injuries or illness before next Sunday!).

Carroll and Setterfield are probably competing for the same spot. If Setterfield is available he may need to come back via the VFL because you couldn’t drop Carroll after such a solid debut.

Dow as medical sub? I can’t see how he gets into the 22 unless we change the structure and play an extra mid and drop Durdin or Owies? I can’t see that happening and I think Fisher & LOB did enough tonight.

I don't think we've can play both Durdin and Owies.

For now anyway.

It’s clearly the structure Voss wants so I can only see them being dropped if it’s a “like for like” situation. Motlop is really the only one who could potentially force one of them out.

Is umpire contact a fine, or time on the sideline these days?

She changed direction late, but if they can give Paddy Ryder a holiday for his bump, they won’t have any trouble determining De Koning had opportunity to evade contact.

De Koning was going for the ball. The ump got in the way. She had a bad match.

I'm glad Adelaide got thumped. Didn't want them getting on a roll before our game

Playing another team on the back of a thumping, and another bogey team. Another huge test, 6-2 looks good, we have to earn it again.

Need to bring the same intensity and capitalise on the North win. Need to give us some breathing space before the NSW double header, as GWS are starting to get on a roll. Big 4 weeks before the bye coming up for our season.

Danger game

It would be ridiculous if TDK (umpire contact) and Young (bump) are cited, but stranger things have happened unfortunately. SOJ also made accidental umpire contact during the game which was a nothing incident the AFL may turn into something.

Do we know if the guy Young collided with (Zurhaar?) is injured? If he is going to miss weeks, they are more likely to cite Young because they tend to focus on the outcome rather than the action (wrongly, IMO). I actually thought it could have been a lot worse for the NM player - in a previous era, a player in that position would have been put out of commission. Young took due care - he got down low and braced himself for the contact as the player run into him. He couldn’t tackle the guy because he didn’t have possession of the ball.

I just watched the replay and have now seen the Young incident.
He simply braced for contact and at no stage did he move towards the North player.
He surely couldn't be cited for that.
The Eleni incident was also just an accident, she backed into TDK.
